PvZ you don't have to secure an advantage. Turns out scouts are pretty good to "muta micro" and snipe drones, overlords, scourge and even hydras. In fact, they're a lot more efficient at sniping scourge than mutas are. What you need is a narrow map with easily securable expos, ie. Destination. Just mass cannons and get upgrades and it's not that hard, scouts are really fast with the speed upgrade.
PvP it's harder, but if the opponent isn't that good you can win without securing a big advantage, but close to C it's very hard, so yea, I secured a decent advantage, and scouts are great at keeping and increasing it if you use them right. Sniping probes <3.
PvT it's a lot harder, you have to secure a good advantage or completely surprise the opponent.
But theoretically, you can constantly play vs 3000 pts guys that barely hit C- and get to C easily.
If you really want some replays I can search, I think I might have some saved, but most are probably gone.

I met one guy doing some 2stargate scout build in C- last season. I could tell that he was a lot better than me, but sadly hydras>scouts and one can't be all cute with harassing when your nat is getting razed... But this is getting way offtopic. A guy who hits C with scout builds is at least blue playing seriously.
Maybe it was me. I usually go fe and then scouts though, not 1 base. I generally avoid using HTs when going scouts vs zerg as it's almost cheating. So sometimes I lose to hydras in the mid-late game.

Huh ;d you may be right then, dunno if a C- can take a game off of a C+ in a legit game... the only way you would be able to accurately tell what ranks meant would be if everyone laddered to a point where their win % ceases to increase their rank. i.e. when you say D+ is different than saying D+ mass gamer because one you know is D+, other one can be C-/C/C+... no one knows.

Im sure that a C- Toss could beat a C+ terran or a C- terran could beat a C+ zerg. I've seen A rank players in ISL reps lose to atrociously worse players in those mu's.

Draft style is probably best. I don't know who'll be captain, but going snake order is probably best (1st to last, last picks twice, back to first, first pick twice etc...)
Bo7 is a bit ambitious though, seeing how you'll need like 10 player teams to cover those who don't show up. I guess you need to see how many people sign up.

I'm in kinda of in a pinch, going 5:0 (and completely drunk at 3am T_T) makes me feel like I shouldn't be in DRTL, but I don't think I'm good enough for CRTL either lol.

Well, I did a small count and you guys have ~35 people or so? I'm not sure if getting some of the people from that list will solve your problems with turnout, sadly. I would've thought that there were more yellow ranks people on TL TT_TT
