I find it funny that in the post-game interview, Stork was actually glad that Light had already played before, and that he faced a zerg. Said Sniper Ridge is brutal for protoss in PvT. He also added more tidbits about how the maps are horrible for protoss this season.

Edit: The more things change, the more they stay the same. Bisu and Stork once again winning and talking about map imba. Ah, BW is back.

Come now...
- Jaedong clearly played poorly, and im sure Ground Zero doesn't favor Toss the least bit.
- by.Sun and Sea both played well, personally i can't find much to say about Jade.. I ll wait until after games play themselves out on the map a bit more to comment.
- Jangbi is just that much better than Light.. I mean he beat Flash and Fanta recently in BoX
- Though not as much as Jaedong did vs BeSt, Zero is favored vs Stork.. He too played poorly though (lost 3 drones to a slow Zealot at the beginning of the game, for no good reason too)..
Look. Only Forward. See. Only Victory.

He cheesed him out and put Light WAY behind in the early game. Sure, Light's TvP is relatively bad compared to Jangbi's PvT, but I think Light played on par with him throughout the entire rest of the game.

Good thing I was so depressed after Light lost that I stopped watching. Zero losing like that would have made me too sad. -_-

I agree Qaatar,

I was impressed that Light managed to hold on the way he did. The proxy reaver did a lot of damage and JangBi continued to do great damage with the shuttle play throughout the match. Solid effort by both.

Mixed feelings about Reality. His early game is amazing. Seemingly flawless decision-making. control, macro. His early push at Shy's 3rd was brilliant. But his 200/200 pushes tend to look like all Samsung Terran pushes. Which is to say it's quite bad. If that had been a more experienced toss, I think he would've lost despite having a huge lead for the entire early game. He really didn't have to wait for the 2/1 upgrades and pushed before Shy had his gateway count up.

IMO, his macro was terrible. It took him a while to get to 200/200 after Shy got to 200/200 even though they had very simlar economy.

I disagree. If you make vultures, it just take longer for you to max than if you turtle with tanks/goliaths. And Shy getting to 200 is because protoss would rather spend money on expos and gateways rather than units at that time. So it's actually BAD that Shy got to 200 quickly.

Technically, vults are the fastest terran unit to max out with I_I

though maybe not so depending on scale of harassment.

Jangbi saw the Rax->Expo. He saw that Light's scouting SCV went the wrong way. So the build was done with perfect scouting information. That's not cheese so much as a counter. Light OTOH went expo->fact->starport into dropship(skipping wraiths for defense). If anything, that's cheese because it was a blind build where he assumed Jangbi expoed.

After that, if Light wasn't a greedy bastard and tried to kill the robo facility, Jangbi would've never had the chance to once again wipe out Light's army and force him to lift his CC. After that, Light tried to get a quick 3rd after spending like 5 minutes mining on one base compared to Jangbi's 3. What? Did he think Jangbi wouldn't try to bust that 3rd with no defense?

The problem is that vultures also die.

Well, by that point he needed to do something to try to crawl back into the game; if he just tried to turtle on 2base and take his third at a normal supply, he would've definitely lost.

Cheese by definition primarily refers to a blind early game strategical play, which if fails generally leaves the cheeser in an unrecoverable position. Jangbi did not cheese Light.

Well in any case, i believe it's safe to say that Jangbi played well, made good decision with the informations that he had, and the game turned out well for him.

I actually had though Light saw the Proxy coming, since his SCV came in late and would have definitely noticed Jangbi is 1 Pylon short, and expected a wraith out of that Starport... But when i saw the control tower i was like.. Aigoo..

True. I don't fault him for that so much as his decision to snipe the robo. That was where he lost the game.

This new Proleague format is going to be a dream for Trolluary... No other coach has as much experience picking completely random players for ace matches as she does.
