Hydras cop a lot of hate because they are flexible, they are kind of the go-to unit for zergs against protoss.

But why is everyone going "lol just build hydras and win". If it's not 3hatch cheese BS, then it's nothing Protoss haven't faced before. Did protoss over-tech, or have bad storms? Did zerg get up uncontested bases?

I am hardly some pro PvZ analyst but I'm sick of people pretending like "lol hydras" is really the extent of what is going on.

I suddenly remembered in the last MSL Best also lost 0-2 in the MST with the 2nd loss dealt by a Zerg. Except in that game the Zerg was Hoejja who played a very smart game.

Well, it's assumed that if great qualifies for the MST, he cannot participate due to going off to ACE and having to go through initial military training, so there might be a wildcard spot held in his place. Take these words with a grain of salt though.

I'm no pvz expert either, but TBH, it seems best did just about everything right to hold that, and still lost anyway.

He had canons in time for the original (fakeish)bust, he had storm for the second bigger bust, he had zealot speed, he held the mutas pretty well. He killed soooo much of great's econ with dts and storm drops.

I think the only thing he could have done better was maybe not go for that first storm drop, since that ht might have been better in his nat to defend.
