Really good game from Stats right there - what he did was take the greedy early 3rd, but managed to delay the timing push from T with his goon-only army just in time for speedlots. He engaged at the bridge because it prevented bbyong's vultures from setting up mines at the open space beyond the choke - with speedlots, Terran takes equal amounts of damage from tank splash raping themselves up front, it's not the big disadvantage everyone thinks. Very good strategic play from Stats, especially managing the contain with such poise. The poorest decision making was bbyong taking the nat instead of defending his main - he lost 1/2 of his mining for 1/3 of Stats', PLUS the loss of main buildings. He split his attacking force goliaths from his newly-produced ones, which furthermore rendered his defense ineffective. By the time that CC snipe happened, he had no third and a mined out nat - while Stats was calmly regaining his lost nat. | ||
