Overall, I like these groups quite a lot.
Agreed. JD has nothing to practice for but ZvZ... he's going to rape 3-0.
there have been many times the last year+ where JD has been in extremely similar situations but still failed to win ZvZs in individual leagues. he lost ZvZs in the last 2 MSL semifinals, lost to hogil last OSL, etc. it's not like he's the only progamer that can practice.
Hydra and Zero are far better than Modesty/hyvaa/Hyuk. And he lost one game to Hogil, shit happens.
Yeah, it's always possible that JD can get knocked out of this Ro16, but the question is, why are people acting like that's the expected outcome? Like I said earlier, despite his supposed slump in ZvZ, he still has a 67% winrate this season, and he's still a much better player than any of the other players in his group. Jaedong going 3-0 or atleast 2-1 is still the most sensible prediction to make. And if he fails to advance, it's still considered an upset.

he's the favorite but it's not nearly the same as when he was the favorite in ZvZ 2 years ago :\
I'm only suprised at the amount of people that feel JD is the underdog in his group. Yes I realize it's ZvZ, and coinflips do happen, but it's Jaedong... and 3 rather mediocre Zergs..
Shouldn't the sentiment be optimism and anticipation as opposed to lingering doubts and fears???
