Commentators: Garimto saying will the "new" TheMarine show up, he has been scary recently. Kim Do-hyung saying Max has been winning against terran recently so he won't be a pushover. Garimto saying the map Alchemist opens the door for many different variables-- strategy, control, build, etc. Also says how KTF seems stronger in teamplay-- so far KTF winning all the team games, KOR winning all the 1v1 games despite the odds-- therefore, if TheMarine can win, puts alot of pressure on KOR. Garimto also adding that on games on Alchemist most zerg users have been able to get 3 gas-- if it goes this way again, it will be tough for TheMarine.

Max scouts immediately with drone. Max makes hatch at his choke, TheMarine goes 2 rax acad. Max stays with 2 hatch, goes lair and sunkens his choke, seemingly planning on ling lurk. TheMarine adds engineering bay, getting upgrade.

Max rushes with 4 swarms, ling lurk, goes as far as TheMarine's choke. TheMarine adding mine vultures, has also expanded to his natural. Max rushes with his entire force. Lots of micro, Max gets into TheMarine's base with swarm ling lurk but TheMarine miraculously stops the push with firebat support.

Max rushes again, this time with defiler support. Lots of troops rush in. TheMarine stops the attack YET AGAIN, this time with 3 bunkers. great game so far~

No one has immediate advantage, but TheMarine does has 2 expos, same number as Max. Max rushes again with ling lurk scourge ultra, again pushes back to TheMarine's bunker/tank line but runs out of swarm at last second and must retreat. This is starcraft's version of tug-o-war

uhjoo Korea (South)1740 Posts February 04 2005 19:11 GMT #60 It was great play on both sides, with a few mistakes here and there, but it was hard to see who would win. I wouldn't say Max lost this game-- more that TheMarine won it, b/c ALOT of times it looked like Max would break through (like 5 times!!!) Max just kept going at TheMarine's choke however instead of ever going counter clockwise where TheMarine had basically nothing. Made for a great game however~
