Game 1: Standard macro PvT. Nothing special. Watch if you are a fan of the players. Game 2: Very nice play by the winner. Check it out if you have spare time Game 3: Cool game, worth watching Game 4: Nice comeback, check it out Game 5: Quite bad but very entertaining game. worth watching
I think that the greatest threat for Bisu today will be PerfectMan, if he faces him. Hopefully he won't fall to a BO loss again. I want to see a hilarious DT vs. DT fight where they're just slashing at each other all day long.

I really dislike Bisu's DT bo in PvP. I just can't remember the last time he actually made it work. Given the way he's often outmicroed with Reaver-Shuttle though, I kinda understand why he does it.

God, someone tell me thats its not him. PLEASE
It's him alright. It's even HIS own vocals he's lipsynching to, 100% pure him. You are experiencing what it would be like if Jaedong debuted as a K-Pop singer.

I really dislike it as well. I dislike how he goes for DTs in PvP 90% of the time, which makes him waaay too predictable to his opponents. But PerfectMan likes going for DTs nowadays as well, so we'll see how things play out.
Sharp built a really fast starport (1fact CC starport before 2nd fact), but the observer spotted it and he just lifted it off? Not sure what it's doing. Still no armories as far as I can see.
SCV builds an engi bay that blocks Bisu's 4th, then vulture comes and snipes the probe before the bay goes down.
Tank at the nat shoots nothing of value and barely gets any kills. Tank in the main just dies. Very little damage done, and the dropship was lost as well.
Vultures snipe some probes on their way to the 4th, though.
Sharp takes his 4th and tries the same harassment that he did last time, though gets better results.
Bisu comes in on the 4th with some really great stasis and forces it to lift, and kills the CC as well! Though he takes some considerable goon damage to do it.
GG from Sharp, well done Bisu! That was kind of a one-sided roll from Bisu... You can tell that he really practiced his PvT for today, lol. WP to Sharp as well.

actually it seemed a little rough to me, like the simcity at 9 and not handling drops all that well. But he still destroyed Sharp lol
Pretty one-sided game. Credit to Sharp for his continual attempts at harassment, but Bisu prevented him from expanding when he'd like, while doing exactly that himself.

The way he handled drops was a little sloppy, but compared to others who completely fall apart when Vultures assault their base, he did quite decently. That's what happens when you have Jung Laden as your teammate!

well he must've had to tolerate much higher extremes of harassment back in practice, so Bisu always handles harass at least decently xD
Please somebody give me names of all the groups singing before the group phase, especialyl the last one(rainbow?!?). And ofc Bisu hwaiting!!! edit:I meant the one before the second match lol.
Yeah I definitely don't think Hyun should've gone for a 4th base, THEN threaten Hydra bust when PM has storm up and running. Either he should've committed wholeheartedly, or gone for drones/bases/Hive.
EDIT: Soulforged, fair enough. PM did elect to drop a metric crapload of cannons, which more than explains Hyun's tentativeness.
The push worked out nicely; defences have been a bit late. Now, if it didn't kill zerg, protoss would be quite behind: no upgrades(that forge wasn't working) and zerg'd hit hive.
In such situations it always comes out to whether you just kill zerg or not. If zerg does not screw up, it's usually not enough. I much prefer bisu's approach - he does not seem to get into spots where he _has_ to push, still having options to harrass and expand.

unless Bisu loses the Winners match (i hope not) then Hyun wins the losers match. by that, we will have our BvZ :p i hate it when Bisu plays PvP, gives me a heart attack.

If Bisu loses, he will fight either sharp or hyun. This group is a complete joke. both are autowin for bisu.
I think the key mistake was that Hyun thought he could delay the hydra break before PM got storm. Unfortunately, Hyun might've not realized that PM skipped sairs entirely, and went straight for templar tech - archives was already up the first time he made a pass with his hydras.
The question I would have is whether or not it's obvious someone is skipping Stargate if you haven't seen Corsairs at that point in the game. Obviously, Hyun had no Spire to scout, but I think at top-level, that should be a process of elimination.
Had he figured that out, I'm sure he would've committed more towards economy/tech, meaning more defense + Hive tech by the time PM attacked. Especially in light of PM lacking +1, he would've been in a commanding position at that point had he held (4 bases to 2, just sniped a shuttle drop, etc.).
He sniped one Reaver, stopped a lot of mining, a few probes, a few goons and he's got his nat coming up faster, at the expense of his own goons and having slower tech.
PM about to push out, has much more goons, if he doesn't missmicro his reavers, Bisu should be dead. But he does missmicro, which makes him lose the battle 3rd halfway done for Bisu, way to lose won game, Perfectman.
On March 24 2011 21:05 okum wrote: Sloppy by PM to let his reaver take the first hit like that.
Did it hit? I don't think it did.
Bisu may be ahead now - he got his 3rd up while PM was rebuilding his army.
Although PM hadn't exhausted his main like Bisu, it still means that he probably will have to put off another engagement until that 3rd comes up, giving Bisu a timing window to hit.
PerfectMan GGs, Bisu is going to the MSL! Yeeeah Kim Taek Shiiiiinnn!! |D
WP from PerfectMan, he made a few micro mistakes, and god PvPs are so nervewracking. Hope advancing 2-0 gives Bisu and Fantasy confidence to win the match against Hite in WL playoffs tomorrow! :D
I think what sealed the deal was Bisu's observer usage - overall, he just seemed to be always one step ahead of PM in terms of decision-making, and as P that comes with good observer scouting.
Aside from that, better micro was the most evident factor. Those reaver battles are so critical.
As an aside - maybe PM didn't populate his mineral fields enough? I noticed that Bisu exhausted his main a lot earlier than PM - that may have been the slight edge in army Bisu needed to win.

You say that as if we're supposed to be impressed by this feat
He won a PvP, which some people consider to be a miracle for Bisu considering his abysmal PvP as of late. Didn't you see all the "Bisu won a PvP!!" comments in the last page? People have so much faith in his PvP nowadays, yup.
Bisu: "Beating Sharp and PerfectMan and advancing 2-0? Didn't even break a sweat. Too easy."
Damn, that is so impressive!
It's exactly supposed to sound like he beat scrubs and got an easy ticket to the MSL. Some people will be surprised that he won a PvP though, but then again, it's PerfectMan.
how is someone that bad on A team? I've literally never seen a game more disadvantageous for zerg in pros, ever. He walked in with 5 marines b4 lings and sunken, he then catches drones in sunken break, a timing he actually MISSED. he delays 3rd expo like crazy and kill double gasses twice, expands 3 times for 5 bases. And LOSES????

Not to mention he wiped out about 10 drones with an irradiated vessel.

Don't forget the fact hyun did ridiculously stupid amounts of tech at hive
Well, at least HyuN delivered entertainingly painful games today. WP to HyuN, congrats to him for advancing to the MSL. Can't wait to see what he cooks up for his ceremony in the group selection.
Both players were so bad in the last game that people should watch it for sheer entertainment value. Hyun had like 10 macro hatches with a infinite amount of lings streaming.

Hyun gonna make this MSL epic! Too bad there is no Hyun vs Bisu.

Oh, don't subject HyuN to a BvZ, that's cruel and unusual punishment. D| It's a good thing that he didn't meet Bisu today.

Oh well, Good games tonight. Too bad Hiya is already eliminated. I can't imagine how can these two make a very hilarious and exciting game.
EDIT: Thanks craton for the lq streamu! I witnessed game 4 because of your lq stream
wtf how am I getting these liquibets right but failing the SC2 ones? I barely follow BW and I'm rank 16 :/. OZ is going to get completely eliminated by the way ezpz

We've still got Jaedong and .. Dear....sigh.
Dammit. I was expecting at least HiyA, Killer, and PM to come out of MST. What happened? T_T
Bisu!!!! HAHAHAH This is the year for you to win!!!! Let's go BISU!!!!! Love moktira for uploading sooo fast!!! and now that he's in charge of nevake they're full vods too!!! THANK YOU MOKTIRA!!!
I'm glad Bisu managed but honestly his PvP today was questionable, like engaging right after defending that three gate or even losing that early reaver while defending...

In regards to the Reaver, Bisu had to bust out as soon as he could. Losing the Reaver was a mistake by him, but it was better than still being contained
The winner's game was a bit scary, PM's 3 gate all-in (correct me if I'm wrong) would have taken the game if bisu didn't hold. Though PM's expo is earlier than bisu's, his lower eco build rendered them more or less equal.

all-in? I don't think it was an all in. Anyway...Perfectman should have won that game. He really screwed this up. He was way ahead. Instead of pushing right after Bisu failed to attack his natural he should have taken 2nd expansion.
Anyway I enjoyed watching each game of Perfectman. Very entertaining.
