that was good fun to watch. that huge attack when great hit the ensnare and had the devourers was amazing. his lurker usage after was uninspiring, but still very cool. really hope he wins this now actually

hmm, the person with spores is usually the one who can safely initiate tech beyond lair
and 12hatch->lings against non-12hatch seems like it could safely transition to spore/droning

but great also didn't linger behind spores too long - not long enough for hydra to mass enough mutas to break them

very well planned by great

if I were hydra I'd open 9pool/overpool next game

Great's strategy was so good. The decision to power larva at the expense of tech knowing that being behind in the air unit count wouldn't matter at all since he was going to turtle for the late game was just genius. He never once focused on a straight up micro battle and instead just set up an unloseable scenario. I'd say Great set a trap and Hydra fell right into it, but the trap was every ZvZ from 2006 until now.

I can't believe I decided I didn't want to watch a ZvZ bo5, and then I glance at the live report and see this nonsense. How could I miss a ZvZ that goes to hive tech? That sounded so well played by both players.
