Well, Tyson's PvT is good so Leta is not a guaranteed win but yes, he should have sent Hydra.

That match was just thrown. Why would a team/coach ever do that? It doesn't help anybody, really.

Leta is in solid form, his 5 losses were against great players and before that he was on a winning streak. Why not give him the chance?
And what abotu Hydra? Why would you let a guy in such a good form not play.
