See, JD could have played like this in the KA S2 OSL final... *crosses fingers*
But srsly who leaves a control group worth of MnM afk in the 7.5o position and have them do nothing until it's too late

Man, I rarely say that, but that game was just savioresque.
Really really well played by Jaedong, just waaaaaaaaaaaaah

no, it was Jaedong-esque. Savior pales in comparison to how amazingly Jaedong just played

I disagree.
Average midgame and muta control, get to hive tech with a disadvantage, a beautifully timed counter, clutch 10 min defense plus great counterattacks ?
That really sounds more like savior than Jaedong.
The difference of course, is that both Jaedong's and Baby's multitask were better than, say, savior and Nada, which is to be expected.
I'd say this was kinda savior vs iris : the comeback was less impressive, the multitask was way better.

yer! i was thinking those red dots, are those MM still there?

probably around 1 control group not 2

There were more than 1 control group, but I think he lost some trying to get out and just left the rest there...

There were a couple of lurkers at the bottom of the ramp. I guess he figured they were more valuable to Jaedong in the long run.

Yeah, I know, but there were some windows of opportunity to dropship them out of there at least I think. For example, that drop in JD's main, could've taken marines from there with an empty dropship, would've only been slightly later. All in all that, and JD donating mutas were the only major blunders in this game I believe.

Any good tvz players know what baby could have done differently? From my perspective not only did he not make any mistakes, he played excellent and still was never ahead it seems, even after denying the 3rd gas twice. Perhaps he could have gone for the nat and main kill with the 3 tank 1 vessel push right before consume finishes instead of going to 11. I'm perplexed as to how any terran could have done anything better to win that game.

The finishing blow was just insane.
Defending against 2 simultaneous drops while entering the main and killing scv's with a drone.
Fuck.

<3 JD!

"and that's why JD should not have been awarded the win in Game 3 after the power outage" just dont pull this again in here. Get over it already

I'm just joking.

Or am I? Feel free to start a discussion about it, or I will treat your silence as though you agree with me.

XD

There was like literally one way JD could've won that game from the position he was in after the midgame, and he found it somehow. Brilliant.

the key was that baby kept getting his vessels sniped so couldn't amass a sizeable number: what the krn commentators actually said so don't call me out

I think you need a 4th tank at your nat to slow down counter attacks when your not pushing the zerg main but his 3th instead. Vulture mines could have helped also imo.

Incredible comeback. Baby's army had the better movement at the beginning, running past JD's defenses to catch expos the moment they hatched, but JD finally cut him off the third time around. After that, his inhuman multitasking allowed him to simultaneously pressure Baby's natural, split Baby's army and immobilize each section, and macro his 3 bases enough to eventually overwhelm the Terran. No way Baby could keep up with that...JD was just possessed.

Perhaps a better/different start. But I missed the part where the bunker got up in the middle, so I'm just guessing :p Perhaps ask mr Lee Youngho?

I think he left a group of MnM in afk mode in the 7.5o position... until it's too late. And he kinda underestimated Jaedong's fortitude too.

He was being a bit dumb by forcing those eraser vessels when JD was just too well prepared for it. He kept losing too many vessels, usually Terran needs to amass a huge vessel cloud in lategame bio TvZ.

I thought Baby made too many firebats. He probably gassed away a potential 2-3 tanks.

Turns out Baby did make a lot more mistakes than he should... Must have gotten complacent methinks. Well JD has decided since Flash has proved that he's still got it by mauling SKT he'll do the same thing to the first team Oz meets in WL.

You cant call that better movement. It is the natural part of tvz. If T and Z both play solid, Z will have only 1 viable build to use and have major trouble getting third up and running, while T has many viable options of shutting it down. Hence the perceived imbalance of midgame tvz, and JD could only overcome it with masterful swarms
Aah thats the stuff..

Awesome game, but i feel Jaedong is not as good as he was in 2008/2009, some small mistakes here and there. His muta micro on this game was average, losing too many of them to turrets. After the ten minutes mark, i thought Jaedong was going to lose, but suddenly, the tyrant awakened. Impressive lategame, and crazy multitasking against one of the best multitasking players around. The final minutes were beautiful. Thanks Jaedong, and happy birthday.

I wish OZ would have let JD go first so he could have gone for the all-kill but I guess the team has to come first and all that.

Oh and JD's record against Midas will be 5-0 now.
