On a gigantic map like this where Protoss can literally take like 10 bases, Terran has to win a big fight decisively enough to follow up by killing like literally 4 or 5 bases in one fell swoop. Basically Mind was never close at all to being able to damage Stork's economy in a significant way, and when that happens it's just an inevitability that Protoss eventually overruns Terran with a combination of unlimited units, Stasis, and Storm. If there existed something like a "remaining resources at currently mining bases" counter, it would have been much clearer how every late push by Mind was essentially all-in at that point. Even though he did a good job, Stork held on just enough. Play enough TvP and you'll have plenty of games where it feels like you're doing a good job exchanging armies with P, only to have the floor drop out from underneath you when your bases run out of money, while P still replenishes effortlessly. It's part of what makes the matchup tough. | ||

edit: @baubo, there were moments where Stork was 20 food behind terran in that game. That was right when I started to lose hope. | ||
