Flash is just too good. ^__^ Too bad JD exists in the same era as the Ultimate Weapon.
JD had chances to win game 1 and he won game 2.
Why is Flash imba when JD makes mistakes?

You beat him by not losing your third like that and then taking more risks than you can afford. Really easy to say, but how the fuck do you do that exactly?

By not taking the expo closest to your opponent?

He accounted for Flash scouting the two other start positions first, and if he wouldn't have found anything there then turn towards 9 o'clock. By then, it would have been safe with lurkers. It was just a gamble and it didn't pay off. Just happens, maybe not the best idea, but what you gonna do. Efforts spirit is not strong with JD in the games against Flash edit: 6 o'clock would have been much better though.
Even if he held it with lurkers it's just in a terrible position though and will never hold all game against Flash...

Putting sunkens and using the mutas to stall 3. Don't triple expand and hope they won't see it.

Take the third far away from Flash's main and keep harassing main with mutas.
Exactly how JD did in the 2nd game and the start of the third. His mistake is to stop pressuring Flash.

I think if he was determined to take this base first maybe a lurker opening would have been more appropriate.

I guess the logic behind taking the 9 was that he could use his mutas both to harrass and defend his 3rd at the same time basically.
Problem was his initial harass did no damage at all so Flash got too big and that was it. Too risky play by JD..

The initial harass did do damage or didnt you notice Flash was a bit late with his turrets? But then JD stopped for w/e reason.

sorry I meant the mutalisk harass

JD knew he had to take major risks to increase his chances against the way Flash is playing atm. Against such a high caliber player you have to play next to flawless. Unfortunately it didn't pay off.
Looks like Flash was expecting this similar build JD used against him before in the "Power Outage" finals where JD expoed like a madman in order to counter Flash's playstyle. This time it didn't work out.
As for the harass. JD was trying. The openings closed just as he got there though.
There were only brief moments where JD's mutalisks were wandering other than that he was trying to pick his spots to no avail. ;/

But that's the thing, JD stopped and so he gave Flash the freedom to go rape that third.

so fucking epic to see some good old bw, I love bw so much with all my heart, GOD its such a good game has it all!
Btw terran mech is so sick almost never see it fail

WCG really should do Bo5 for the semis up. I would have liked to see 2 more games.

If it's that easy, why doesn't JD just do it then? Flash is 11-4 vs JD in their last 15 serious games in BoX's. There's absolutely no excuse; Flash>>>JD.

yeah and how many of those games happened in terran favoured or 2 player maps?

It was unfortunate that he just had 9 mutas when he first go behind Flashs nat-mineral line and killed one of the top turrets. With 11, he probably would not have needed to retreat there and could have done serious harm. But yeah, Flashs timings... When he entered Flashs main, I missed some more recklessness there though. It seems that he could have killed a little bit more there (and bought more time for his lurkers for 9 o'clock) and he was already at the backfoot after the 9pool. Would have been risky 'cause Flashs defence is so strong, but I think he needs to take those risks. His mutas have become a bit passive against terran (and while saying this I exclude 3base-muta-only-head-against-the-wall against Sea, which was just stupid).

I don't think Jaedong needed to take major risks, it's Fighting Spirit after all...

And that's why we have 3 T's in WCG for the second year in a row, that's why we've had so many T's winning Starleagues since Forgg did it vs JD 2008?
