Agreed, i have no idea why Jaedong didn't just go for standard base placement on FS. He kept trying to sneak expansions, and flash kept picking them off, whereas if he'd just dug in in two corners like normal, he would have been in a much better position.

I suppose he was trying to take an unusual position as Flash always goes to the corners. But why not expo nearest to nat instead. That base was never going to hold, even if it was discovered later than usual. He does well on FS so i dunno why he decided to do that.

Ah well, it's not like it was totally stupid. He accounted for Flash scouting the two other start positions first, and if he wouldn't have found anything there then turn towards 9 o'clock. By then, it would have been safe with lurkers.

It was just a gamble and it didn't pay off. Just happens, maybe not the best idea, but what you gonna do. Efforts spirit is not strong with JD in the games against Flash
