the term bonjwa was invented for one of your players and jaedong has had one of the most incredible and consistently successful careers ever. while flash had some extreme slumps, jaedong always brought his best to the table and did well.

JD did not have to go through flash (or even any great players) to get ALL of his titles.
In most cases though flash had JD or several other GREAT players (mainly in the TvT area) to play vs.
Flash is by far more dominate if you take.
Season win ratio and titles.
Plus there cannot be two bonjwas from one time period. So, if he loses to flash (which he did in the OSL) he still could have become one, but losing again to him in MSL OSL (and maybe the WCG) puts his run @ bonjwa at an end. Flash clearly dominated for 2 seasons.

Okay i'm a total noob when it comes to BW, but it just seems weird to me that Jaedong isn't considered up there with Nada, Savior, oov, Boxer and now Flash considering he is second only to Nada when it comes to titles.

Nobody can question Flash's legitimacy at being a Bonjwa now, he is one, case closed.
Now as for JD, I believe he's one too. JD has been to a SL finals 5 seasons in a row. 5 SEASONS I don't think that's been done before. JD is tied for 2nd in total number of gold titles, he has more titles than 2 other Bonjwas. Had Flash not existed this last year JD probably would've won another 3 golds. There are many times when there are two concurrent Bonjwas whose peaks are just ever so slightly phase shifted, I believe this is such a time.

Jaedong's been the top player pretty much since late 2007 to May 2010...it's just hard for people to handle seeing him now absolutely CRUSHED...but it's happened. Flash takes spot as best ever.

2008-2009 was a terran dark age when no terran could tvp, and weakened tvz ever since savior completely solved SKTerran. I used to be the biggest terran hater, even I mellowed. Terran has gone through plenty of pains like Zerg and Protoss.
flash was the one bright spot through all of this
flash just happens to be the best and plays Terran.

Because titles aren't the sole identifying factor of the bonjwa title. Domination can only be measured in the perspective of those who were there to see it happen.
