Great game from both, nice ZvT from action.

Btw what the hell is the masters cup anyway?

winner's league style.

lowest proleague ranks play higher ranked.

eSTRO
sparkyz
khan
oz
stars
cj
fox
mbc
skt
kt

so we have estro beating sparkyz, and moving on to play khan. it'll go on, with winner advancing each time, until after skt vs kt. the winner of that will play stx, who sponsors the tournament. stx only has to win once, kt has to win twice, skt 3 times, etc

last year, skt was 1st ranked, so they beat oz using s2 (1 kill) and ssak (3 kills) and then rolled stx with a hyuk all-kill. that was before hwasin left ;;

Actually, I think it goes: Proleague rankings played upwards in a winner's league style, and the winner out of that group gets to play last year's champion T1. At least, that's how it is according to the TL schedule. I think STX was seeded into the finals last year because it was the first year they'd started the tournament.

@SaetZero, you don't need a spoiler for that since you aren't spoiling the results or inferring that a certain team won, but even if you did you still don't need it because it's an LR thread. If this was PL and this was MBC vs T1 and hite vs KT was also on you would need a spoiler here if you were to say something like "wow, the ace player of KT got sniped by a scrub too!". No harm in having it anyway I guess, but just letting you know. If someone doesn't want the results of this series to be spoiled they won't be looking through the LR. But yeah, the lineup completely spoils the results because of the winner's league style format. I haven't even checked the "results" spoiler and I don't need to to determine that it went
really > puma
really < hogil
classic > hogil
classic > horang2
classic < leta
action > leta

Leta would have had to take it to ace match for sparkyz to win, which the lineup clearly states he didn't. The only solution is that eSTRO won 4-2. The only way for it not to spoil the results 100% is if it goes to ace match.

Yeah, I was going to say... maybe just list the players who played under "line-up"? I mean, that spoils the winner, but at least it doesn't spoil who played who.

I thought STX Masters was made to give B-teamers chance to play.

Does anyone actually practice for this? Seems pretty worthless of a tournament to me. Only good thing is for Hyuk to get some all-kills.

STX Mastercup does not even affect the player's kespa ranking or official winning/losing streaks.

It is kinda intended for b-teamers to get some spotlight. But some teams are so desperate for victory after the regular season, they would field their A-team lineup. Besides, I suspect that STX encourage the teams to field their full force. Otherwise, this show wouldn't get ratings.

Maybe for lineups put something like this:

eSTRO: (T)Really, (T)Classic, (Z)Action, (P)Flying (anti-spoiler)
hite: (T)PuMa, (Z)HoGiL, (P)Horang2, (T)Leta

Bottom tier teams I suspect would send out their A-team because of how desperate they are for victory, but I'm suspecting that teams like KT and SKT would just send out their B-Team because they don't really give a fuck (like last year)

last year was still mostly A-teamers even if some teams didn't play all of their best players
