BIsu firs player to get 4 MSL wins? I think so! For some reason, now that he is back being a champ again, I don't know why but I kinda dislike him more than he was slumping lol
Shot, I forgot CLAM was slumping and picked him for my Liquibet, crud, my streak is broke. I say Bisu gets in fo-sho, just have to wonder which place he'll get. X_X
PvZ ? Bisu? hes got this... gogogo Bisuuuuuuu............hes better than the clam and those two.. although action can win over clams after beating jaedong i forgot how to zvz little ass..
i think calm is ahead rofl... 2 drones + delayed hatch vs 2 pylons, cannon, canceled cannon, and probe?... calm builds hatch at 10.5 nat and in his nat now, so gonna be 3 base vs 2
On July 10 2010 17:10 Elroi wrote: god I hope Bisu can make it out of this group, and that he does it with Action. But it'll be hard, ZvP is imba and Action is weak in ZvZ :/
Bisu making a Corsair from one Starport and building his Citadel. Calm has now taken his natural, and making a Sunken at 11 o'clock's natural expansion (which he took first.)
Bisu chases Mutas away with Sairs, and drops a Dark Templar to 11's main and calm's base. Meanwhile he expands to 3. Clam now also getting Hydras while trying to harass with Mutas.
Hydra push breaks into Bisu's main. He casts some good storms but there are still lots of Hydras left. Meanwhile Bisu eliminated the expo at 11. Not sure if he can hold the push at his main, though.
Omg, Bisu _finally_ gets four Dark Templars out, and kills off all the Hydras, since he managed to take care of the Overlords before. Now he's actually attacking, trying to pick off Ovies while his Zeals attack. Has to pull back though.
Bisu is actually ahead with the third base up lol. but his army just diedand DT's arnt going to save him again with his sair fleet gone. HT's are out so if he has storm he can hold
lol, fuck I got almost a heart attack when the stream jumped to the point where calm was owning bisus nat. but then it showed the corsairs and dts and Calms dead third!
As happy as I am for Bisu, I think Calm made a huge mistake in GGing so early. As the saying goes, "it aint over till it's over." You never know how these things will turn out.

its not that stupid. Calm did go all-in after he broke the nat by allowing his third to die and not expanding, just pumping hydras and hoping he could finish bisu that way. granted im 99% sure thats not what he meant lol.

2 base zerg with low tech can't take on 2 base toss with higher tech. Bisu already starting to stabilize and rebuild on his natural while clam will have a very hard time trying to take a third.

2 base vs 2, Bisu has full production and tech, Calm didnt even start queens nest or lurker upgrade. Bisu would've been able to easily claim his third so even if calm could take and hold a base he'd still be very very behind. at that point it was basically a failed 2-hatch hydra bust. you're just dead when you dont kill him
Omg those DTs... I used to hate his style (maybe because he beat my favorite player) but after the global protoss slump it's cool to see him win again. Bisu fighting!
I wonder how Calm lost that base though... It was lagging too hard.

so calm should've either... a) built a spore at his 2nd (or "3rd") in the first place, or b) re-expanded/teched after busting nat...
edit:

replay showed that 2 dts killed the whole thing... no detection ftl
O boy, that was an intense game. It buffers for me and I see no cannons and like 20+ hydra in the nat and was just like o shit, here we go again. But somehow Bisu lives.
Calm sure gg'ed faster than I expected, thought he would have at least engaged. I mean he was in a rough spot, probably with little or no supply available, but still, killing a few gateways might have made things interesting.

rofl, and what do you expect him to do? Yes, calm was fucking stupid letting his third die to dts, but at that point, you really expect him try to not go all-in? He had a better chance doing that then anything else.
holy shit, that was a sick and INTENSE game. i thought bisu was done when some 20 hydras razed his nat and were starting to pwn his gates....
btw i also thought calm gg´d a bit too early. the templars didnt have enough energy yet and it werent that many zeals.
after the game bisu was sitting in his chair with a huge "phheeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww" on his face. basically his face was asking the same question that we all had in our minds: how the fuck could did he survive that?
I really wish the stream was non-laggy for the first game. It was literally magically popping of 1000 hydra in front of Bisu's doorstep and I almost jumped out of my seat.

Too many shitty zergs decide to allin instead of defending and playing management. Its pretty painful to watch. I love it when they lose like that though hahaha. Hopefully Bisu taught Calm a lesson.

Gayer than Dt drop kind of gay.
Yea, the match-up favors Zerg heavily these days. But still, the Zergs in the group have to face Bisu _and_ play one or two ZvZs. Not exactly something to look forward to.
Unbelievable. I thought Action had this for sure. Then what's-his-face charges into Action's base with 6 Mutas, takes out the single Spore Colony, takes out 3 Overlords, Spawning Pool, and is now working on the Lair...

He still had a 2nd with a really well going economy while Hydra's was crushed, aka Action could still make muta/scourge while it would be really hard for Hydra to catch up.
what i like most about zvzs: they usually are over quickly. and btw gj action. i really want to see this kid advancing 2-1 (behind bisu). its nice to see a zerg with real late-game management skills.

On July 10 2010 17:41 GeLaar wrote: Haha, no more Larva advantage for Action. Lost his entire base...

What the??
Well Action has 2spores + shitloads of drones, while Hydra had like 3 drones left and 2/3mutas, after having eaten scourges and losing one to spores while flying over action's expo.
Hydra butchers Action's main with his small muta force plowing through the solitary Spore and kills the spawning pool, a couple of ovies, the spawning pool and the lair. At the same time Action sends all his lings to Hydra's main (and only base) taking out a sunken and a bunch of drones. Eventually Action gets his nat very heavily fortified with a bunch of spores, spawns a few mutas and scourge, kills most of Hydra's remaining mutas and starts hitting Hydra's main. Hydra has no economy and no chance of breaking through Action's remaining, heavily saturated base and GGs.

what?! no, i said i like the fact that zvzs dont take long. muta vs muta is to see if it lasts 5-8 minutes, anything above that usually gets depressing. (except the game makes it past the 20 minute mark, then a zvz inevitably becomes epic^^)

That was some of the coolest pvz I've seen all year, and I'm not even a Bisu fan.
What with air domination being so important, early aggression being weakened due to the lurker egg wall denying any larva usage from the hatchery behind it, Bisu can show off his impressive corsair and shuttle usage while massing off three base safely for that deadly han-bang force.

The correct scenario is that Calm practiced against Protoss like a boss. But because he is only a clam and Bisu is Taek-Shin, the corresponding Corsair/DT butt rape was but all orderly procedure. It's like a deer can never eat a lion, but only to serve as prey to the king of the beasts.

Agreed. I don't see any protoss progamer atm capable of 2-0 an all zerg group atm. That 7-0 stat is really impressive too since the matcup seems to favor zergs quite a bit atm. Not only that; Bisu's gameplay has been improving alot the last weeks too so it is probably not a fluke either.

Bisu has been having shitty scarabs since he started playing well again. His games would have looked even more dominating if some of the duds in Bisu v Mind or Bisu v Jaedong had actually gone off.
Bisu's game vs. Action was the more impressive I thought. His Corsair play was flawless, and although the game dragged on for longer that it possibly should've due to dud scarabs, Bisu's macro, army composition and large army control were incredible. I think it's now time to annoint this the third coming of Bisu.
