In his first person view he once had like 2000 minerals but almost nothing incoming after that (one expo with around 200 mins per patch and that got destroyed pretty soon). Against so many wraiths the small forces he could bring up just could not stand their ground.
Not sure why he didn't make a big move on the bottom left then. Aside from him never making use of that the map was pretty much split diagonally.
