Game 1: Ok game, watch if you have spare time Game 2: Winner dominates, not really worth watching Game 3: Perfect play by the winner, watch it Game 4: Not worth watching Game 5: Same as game 2
I'll be covering the whole thing tonight...so that includes group 10, since all the groups are in succession of one another. So you can put me under how to watch. As long as my player doesn't crap out on me. Lol.
Given Bisu's current state and the state of PvZ right now, I just don't see Bisu managing to win this unless 815 does something dumb like last time these two met. 815 hasn't won anything since February, but Bisu hasn't won anything since April. Both of these guys are at the bottom of their form and I expect typical ZvP gayness to win the game for 815.
Skyhigh is pretty bad at TvZ. Win percentage-wise, he beats Hyun, but he's currently on a 5-game losing streak against Zerg, while Hyun's on a 2-game winning streak against Terran, and he's been doing alright in proleague lately. Regardless of who wins, I predict a game full of fail from both sides, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Hyun will have this one.
2 pretty inconsistent players headbutting in the most inconsistent matchup. I really have no idea what to expect. But, since 815 has been in crappy form and Hyun has been doing alright, I'm going to say Hyun wins this.
Bisu just beat Skyhigh in the OSL wildcard tournament. Match Point is a P-friendly map, and Skyhigh doesn't have great TvP. I'm thinking that Bisu will take this.
This is where I would love to see Bisu show us some awesome play. I like to think that despite his bad form, he can still outsmart the relatively-new 815 strategically on this weird map. Bisu, please show us that you're still something resembling good.
HyuN advances 2-0 Bisu advances 2-1 815 is eliminated 1-2 sKyHigh is eliminated 0-2
I have no idea what's going to happen here. 2 Zergs + sKyHigh historically ought to be an automatic 2-0 win for Bisu... except Bisu lately has been terrible.

Now he's going to have to deal with (presumably) Skyhigh. 815 played okay, he had yes many ultras but with no swarm and his overlords getting blown up left and right, he had no chance.
i'm happy Bisu won because it's far more entertaining watching him win PvZs...
but seriously 815 played like he wanted to lose that game. no overlords in your main against bisu of all people, suiciding tons of overlords, having hive forever and not building defilers for 20 minutes, the ridiculous late game decision to kill no mining bases or swarm properly, wtf?

Basically, if 815 wasn't even a tiny bit less sucky, he probably wins that game. Disturbing. 25 minutes to make 1 defiler lol
Okay, not probably, because it is 815 after all :p

I think this game says more about PvZ than about Bisu... I mean, I saw no real flaws in Bisu's play, and 815 still almost managed to come back with such terrible play.

Yeah i also think Bisu played very very well in terms of mechanics, but his decision making was not good enough,so 815 was able to survive this long.

I thought his macro could've been much better considering he was on equal or more bases with Zerg all game. That and he didn't capitalize enough on his big advantage after the dt drop

He's still not back to his baller ways, his decision making was very hesitant. Also didn't help that 815 was avoiding any type of confrontation until the very end, but I think Bisu did a good job shutting down any expo attempts and starving 815

It was a good game. Kinda bisuesque at the start, got dragged on as Bisu seem to be holding back, continued onward to base elimination and Bisu came on top pretty decisively.
fact: flash was originally invented to slay DRAGONS. Thats how much of a threat bisu posed in the past. Bisu is his true rival and will rise again<--not a fact.

He never really had the chance..How can he do something when he was contained in both of his fronts.

And then when you decide it's a good idea to suicide 12 drones into the midgame Terran army. That also hurts.
And Bisu hits Skyhigh's third while Skyhigh still has units in the main. Looks like Skyhigh will hold, but he can't replace those units and Bisu can...
frontal attack, vultures out of position, Skyhigh will probably hold with 2nd line of defense, but another arb and more zlots are coming, bisu settling for wailing on the cc OMG HUGE MINE TAKES OUT 5 GOONS skyhigh still with not enough Skyhigh GG's
Wow skyhigh looks like this was the most frustrating game of his life. Welcome back to winning, KIM TAEK YONG! I hate your team but I can't help but pull for you given your recent performance (and protoss in general)
Never liked Skyhigh after the reverse all-kill vs OZ but based on the play of the other people in the group, he'll advance. He'll be fine.
I missed the first part of the game and was wondering what had happened at the beginning to lead to such a difference in units ... 12 nex vs 2 fact .... or what?

Bisu opened with a gas steal and sick probe harass --> manner pylon --> 1 gate expand (before core). Bisu harassed unsuccessfully with zealot, Skyhigh expanded before factory and tried to counter by bunkering Bisu's natural, but all of his marines died to one zealot + 6 probes before the bunker completed. Bisu then went 2 gate range robo (or something like that) off his two bases, while Skyhigh added two factories w/addon, bunkered his natural for defense against Bisu's dragoons, and got a starport for vulture drop.
The vulture drop, and pretty much the entire rest of the game for Skyhigh, failed miserably, and Bisu earned his Flawless Victory.
I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping that this means a Bisu revival. I'm still very cautiously optimistic but even if he doesn't return to his former S-Class form, it would be nice to see him at least playing solid A-Class Starcraft for an extended period of time.
That was such a one-sided game, except unlike the Skyhigh/Hyun snoozefest before it, this one was entertaining as hell to watch. Domination with style. Go Bisu!

Lol, I spoke too soon. Seems like that placement hurts more than helps.
???? What happened?
Nothing, really. Just when 815 pressured with his early zerglings, that placement made it harder for hyun to get around to the other side of the hatchery to defend.
WTF is wrong with K-pop ? Sexy girls dancing, I love it. You can just mute the stream... Don't forget your comments are offensive, if you don't like Roffles's stream, don't watch it.
seems odd that he'd go for the den even with the SCV in his main, he must have been very confident that the SCV would not try to go down to the natural.
skyhigh is playing overly safe because he's suspicious that Hyun isn't doing anything... little does he know that Hyun isn't hiding anything, he's actually doing nothing --

Not really, mostly just making a joke. If I wanted to rag on k-pop I'd do it in a much more constructive manner, such as cutting off my ears and mailing them to Hyungjun (at least I think it was) for destroying a Christmas classic.
On June 17 2010 17:27 Spazer wrote: So that's what, only one game worth watching in this group?
Eh', I wouldn't recommend any of them, really. Most people are happy to see Bisu winning again, but neither of his games were really all that entertaining imo. I'm crossing my fingers for group 11.
Bleh, if you want to talk about antiteams, mine was Really, Classic and Snow (didn't pay enough attention to protoss scene) : -16 points first week. :D

I'm in shock.
No kidding.
I would be happy if Bisu returned to form. I'm not exactly a huge fan of him or anything but his upper skill level is right up there with Flash and Jaedong. He makes protoss fun to watch when he isn't sucking.
