Game 1 hyvaa vs Kal Kal PvZ specialist take on a player who has shown decent ZvP lately beating Pusan and the rising PvZ star Movie! I foreseen a great long game, with every outcome possible!
Game 2 Movie vs Hwasin Rising P star Movie vs a quite famous player who everyone expect, one day, to accomplish something notable! Will this OSL turn into Hwasin glorious time?! Another very interesting game.
Game 3 ZerO vs fantasy Fantasy need no presentation and his glory day seems to be back, ZerO on the other side is someone who's able to beat everyone on a given (special) day, will today be that day?!
Game 4 Shine vs go.go Here we have the guy who disappointed the most TL's fan in a single week, go.go and a Z (Shine) who is quite unpredictable ... i expect this one to be the only one sided match of the day!
Event Time: 18:30 KST - 11:30 CET - 05:30 EST - 02:30 PST
hyvaa < Kal were there 2 of Kal playing or what?! Kal was everywhere and as someone said ... got his opponent in like 60 sec of crazy multitasking! Movie < Hwasin T FE = imba ZerO > fantasy Shine < go.go
FINAL NOTE: fomat copied from jalstar post (thank you man!) There was something wrong with TLPDizer ... i had to do everything manually i hope it was just a problem with my Pc's / IE configuration.
i have no clue why hyvaa kept making mutas after dealing with 1st drop.it was obvious that kal had 2 stargates up and +1, he could have countered them in no time, and he needed sairs for his shuttles anyway
WTF!??!!? I leave for 5min after Kal's first failed reaver harass, thinking Kal will either stretch the game out or be swiftly beaten. I come back and Hyvaa is gg'd??! HOW??

after that first harass kal pretty much said "get gud scrub" and killed 3 bases in about a minute.

even after losing a few reavers, kal wasn't really behind for that long. hyvaa sucked at multitasking, kal harassed all his expos with shuttle/reaver/zealots and mass sairs. hyvaa didnt even pull drones ffs.

Movie wasn't being greedy...he took 4th before he managed to snipe the 3rd CC thx to tactics and he was actually in a pretty good shape before he suicided the goon force.
Mind that after the early game he was in a situation where his nexys finished much later(made up a bit by reaver scv kills), and terran had 2facts, e-bay and a turret ring. That's compared to usual 1fact e-bay turrets or 2fact e-boy no turrets. Hwasin also had more tanks out than usual by that point, so movie was playing catchup - and it almost worked until he threw the goons away. Right before that he was at 8gates vs 5fact and archives tech so it was okay.
Beautiful timing push from Hwasin, he executed it so well too. Cut Movies forces in half and punished him for taking a fast 4th. (also helped that Movie suicided like 8 dragoons at the beginning lol)

Regardless of what the reason for his greedy play is, fact remains is that it was overambitious and greedy. 4 base 4 gate? Yea, it was a gamble he took to get back in the game, but there were other alternatives.
Movie's PvT seems to be getting worse, I mean he played brilliant PvT last season when he beat light. And I question his unit choice, all dragoons against siege tanks?
Movie would have been fine with that timing push if it wasnt for him trying (and failing) a proxy first. because of that his push was late and siege was done.
Hwasin or Baby need to win one more game in their group and Movie or Stork are out of the OSL. Best case scenario - Stork beats Hwasin and Movie beats Baby and everything is back to zero. Storks PvT is great so he should be able to secure the win, but if Movie doesnt beat Baby his future in the OSL is looking very grim . . . . . . .

He committed to expanding, and robo tech. Templar tech was just kicking in when Hwasin pushed out.

This is pretty toned down overall, I don't see what your panties could be in a bunch about.

Ok, just wanted to make sure one wasn't eAPM, thanks.
I'm afraid kona's stream is more or less a slideshow for me. Don't know if its cause I live in the wrong region of the world, but yeah.. =/ Grateful for something though, don't get me wrong!

What's with all the self-indulgent people feeling entitled to streams?
Lol? Do you hear me complaining? Back off, no need for hostility. Is it wrong to say the truth, that there will always be idiots complaining about streams, and getting hurt over it every time does no one any good?

You seige up and wait until zerg suicides all his units trying to get close.

5/5 concern trolling.
And Zero's drops are a great answer to the mech switch. We aren't seeing him waste a ton of ultras to mines and tanks (I'm looking at you Kwanro and... Jaedong).
Clearing the mines with those zerglings for ovies to pass unnoticed = the winning move. I'm impressed with the level these guys are playing on. Beautiful mindgames

Yeah that move blew my mind away.
wow, so THAT's what the zerglings were doing (not suiciding). that was a brilliant move by zero.
go.go had 5 vults with mines vs 3 hydras, instead of running into the main and mining it up, he attacked the nat with a sunk and lost 3 vults. coulda had instant-GG right there
lol, the chinese commentators are laughing at shine "Shine thinks he's in a good position, hes moving in thinking in wants to go and finish Go.Go now, just kill him In reality, go.go is the one in a position to destroy shine. When shine attacks it will be hilarious"

Thats hilarious ^^ Hope Go.go advances to the Ro8. Shouldn't be too hard if Shine or Effort drop another game. Thanks for the streamage Konadora!

I wouldn't say the problem is solved yet. Zero used a smart move to clean the mine field before the overlords. Had Fantasy used his valkyries, the outcome would've been different.
I had to miss out on Kal's game, but according to the results, I cant wait to watch it! I'm glad to see he's in good form, he'll need it during the weekend.

Haha same here... I bet against Hwasin for last night's matches too... and he 2-0ed. Lesson learned: never bet against Hwasin when making it to the Ro16 is concerned...
On April 03 2010 01:59 Mortality wrote: Uhm, why is Kal being considered a PvZ specialist when statistically it's by far his worst match?
Because compared with other P's his PvZ is pretty good, or at least used to be. I think it's mostly that in the MSL finals against Jaedong a while back he actually put up a good fight.
Hwasin is my hero. Although I am a Flash fan, nothing would make me happier than to see Hwasin make it out of the Ro16, beat the Ro8, and get into the semis. Even if Hwasin went into the finals and crushed Flash, I would still be unbelievably happy for the guy. He really needs more recognition than he gets, the man is the modern definition of CONSISTENT (just like Nada was a few years ago)

Kal is probably the most solid Protoss right now, but I have to agree with Mortality that his PvZ is nothing special, relatively speaking (though he was a great PvZer in the dragon days). Movie, Shuttle and a back in form Jangbi have put up better results recently. His "good fight" against Jaedong was him getting 3-0ed. He lost to Soulkey and Hyuk (granted, Hyuk tricked him with his opening and Kal's scarabs later failed en masse).
His PvT on the other hand is pretty sexy, as his drops, multitasking and good battle micro can really overwhelm his Terran opponents.
I didn't watch the first two games, but after reading the thread it sounds like his multitasking did the job. This isn't the first time that he's at a disadvantage and comes back with crazy drops (watch his game vs ggaemo during WL).

Legacies die hard.
If you go back just to this time last year, through the end of the first WL his overall record PvZ was 32-18 (64%). Over the same time his PvT was 39-27 (59%) and PvP 28-31 (47%).
Over the last year, he's gone 21-25 vs Zerg (46%), 27-10 vs Terran (73%), and 17-5 vs Protoss (77%). His PvZ obviously has slipped down to merely decent, but overall that's an absolutely massive improvement in two matchups at the expense of the other one.

Wonder what happened?
Same thing that happens to many progamers. They get too confident in leading matchups and spend a lot of time practicing for weaker MUs.
Must feel good to be Hwasin. He finally won a game after getting 0-3d in the last 3 Osls.
Also, fuck go.go. Someone squash this insect before it spreads its filthy disease all over this OSL.

So glad to see cheezerg got raped. That guy denied us of a Stork/Flash rematch.
Shine still did what he wanted to do: Get further into the OSL to get to the Finals-not to roll over when a "star" player comes around and let the player beat him.
And anyways, it wasn't necessarily Shine's fault either in that Stork would have had to get past Movie too to get to Flash in the first place. Who knows what would happen in that OSL Semifinal?
Zero vs fantasy game was quite entertaining. Fantasy had map control forever, then Zero did a kick ass mine sweep with zerglings to pave the wave for a stealthy drop. It wasn't even a doom drop; it was only 4/5 overlords, with 1 defiler, a few lurkers, and a few hydras, and basically destroyed fantasy's entire main. Simultaneously, he defended a tank/vulture push with lurker/swarm at his front door. Then more drops shut down the rest of fantasy's expos, while Zero sighed wondering when fantasy would leave. Both bored and wealthy, Zero spammed mutas to in response to fantasy's refusal to gtfo.
Zero played great, knowing exactly how to counter the tech switch, having lost to it before in a dramatic WL game, but it was also very poor play by fantasy in general. He didn't pressure Zero, he didn't harass at all (didn't even make one dropship), he let his units sit around everywhere collecting dust, he made absolutely no attempt to micro his m&m, and he lost the game to 5-overlords worth of zerg units. He was lazy, ill-prepared, and assumed that his awkward tech switch (denchanic-whatever-thing) would win the game, with the assumption that Zero would spam ultralisks and lings, and be blown apart by mines and siege. Fantasy's so average at TvZ, that instead of improving his management, macro, or micro, he's just pulling out these half-assed builds and crossing his fingers hoping he won't have to put in any real effort to win.
Go.Go might actually be a really interesting player if he didnt, you know suck. can you imagine the love if Flash or Fantasy pulled off the transition go.go did vs Shine? we'd all be hailing the person as a genius with a great new build/idea, but with go.go... its like shrugged off
Movie cant believe this, good thing stork isnt in good shape either. I hope Baby cant pull stuff like he did every day so Movie can advance to ro8. I want to see him play Flash

Go.go is also unbelievably ugly which doesn't win him a lot of points in the eyes of fans either. That and he was known for bm that isn't as funny as FBH (who people give flak to anyway for the same list as go.go) and doesn't play as well, either. In fact, he is like FBH crap.

well to be fair he met jaedong from the dates u noted 10 times and lost all 10 for some reason the guy keeps meeting the best zvp ever to be born 16 in total and won 3...... kal's pvz is not deteriorating its just jaedong's zvp is just the only s class that's left in jaedong (when he is not mad - if so than its automatically transforms to j vs ) i think its awesome he improved with his other 2 matches and u can see it clearly as he is the leader in both kespa and elo from the protoss clan . def the most solid protoss out there (consistent) stork has greater potential (but cant maintain consistency lately) but like someone allready said he cant beat flash or jaedong so he need to get lucky
