During group ceremonies, they just gather all the gamers and they sit down, chat and pick their groups. OSL group ceremonies are usually more bland and less interesting than the MSL ones simply cause there's only 16 as compared to 36 (or was it 32?). Anyways, there's typically a Live Report thread with people translating on the spot what's going on, who trashtalked who, who picked who, etc. As for subs, there are no current plans on subbing anything OSL Group Ceremony related. MSL Group Selections though are on the radar.

I'm not totally sure on the process, but basically players put their name on a big board with groups and then other players get to move/bump people around to form the final groups. Its a fun event thats full of semi-inside jokes and trash talking (most? all?) years have a prize associated with being the "best trash talker", I remember FBH winning a psp at one point. Generally it will have a LR thread where someone will translate parts of it, but no subs. This year specifically someone is planning on subbing the entirety of MSL group selection, but not OSL.
I've never been entertained enough to watch it live but its fun to skim the LR thread and pick out the funny bits. They have kind of entertaining entrances to the stage for the players sometimes which can be funny at the start.

Jeez, not everybody who does things you don't understand is a troll =\ people throw that around too much.
Anyway, the Korean Air intro is fucking SICK I have to say. Possibly one of my top 3 favourites of all time. So classy.
edit: Oh, just realized the OP doesn't have the Ro16 intro. That's the one I'm talking about.

I updated this and also made some changes to try to make it look less ugly and cluttered. How do you feel about the group stage chart instead of text? Idea is to make it faster to see who still has to play who in their group before its final, so you know who has better chances of going 3-0 or whatever.
I just noticed I haven't direct linked any vods at all and I'll try to get on it when I have time.

Cool idea. I like your chart thing much better than what it was before. Like you said, not only is it less cluttered, but it's also easier to register who has to play whom before the group is over just by looking at the empty boxes. Also, since the letters are larger, it seems easier for me to see who has what scores, but that might be just me.
Anyway, point is, I like it better in almost every way.

Not necessarily. The group can still go 2-1 / 2-1 / 2-1 / 0-3 if Flash beats Kal, and everyone beats Kwanro. In that case I'd still say Flash/Kal is the most likely scenario for advancement, even though Hyvaa's been showing good games recently.

Alright, but if he does beat Kwanro, he has a very high chance of making it into ro8. Theres a good chance Kwanro will roll Kal, and a decent one where Kal might actually beat flash.

If Kwanro wins Kal -> Then everybody is 1-1 score. That means then Hyvaa vs Kwanro winner goes to RO8 and Kal vs Flash winner too goes RO8.
