Some of these seven will likely be eliminated soon, in round 32 as well. 3 S-class? Effort is considered S-class?

I don't think effort is a S-class either. He beats bunch of scrubs but hasn't gotten into a individual league finals yet. So 2 S-class, 2 formal s-class, and 2 a-class progamers r out already. Sad sad times.

Looks like Bisu needs to go into a deep slump again before he realizes he needs to get his act together and stop playing shitty SC.

Time and time again we see our favorites fall to the Ro32, and the Ro8 suffers as a result. So what? I'm all for upsets and it seems like I'm the only one here. Am I the only one who thinks leagues are always more fun with upsets???

Just wait till Jaedong slips up somewhere, and you guys will be doing the same thing. On December 04 2009 02:30 asdfTT123 wrote: So what? I'm all for upsets and it seems like I'm the only one here. Am I the only one who thinks leagues are always more fun with upsets??? Upsets are more fun later on because they play out in Bo3s and Bo5s. Upsets in the group stage are crap because they lead to shitty Bo3s and Bo5s (which are more fun than Bo1s). It's no fun to see an S-class player 3-0 some B-rate player who advanced just because he played 1 good game during the group stages. It's much more fun to see a Bo5 that plays out as an insanely close 3-2, between two strong players. While this is still certainly possible with upsets (Jaedong v Canata was a fantastic set), sets between strong players generally produces better games than sets with a clear underdog. Hence why people dislike early upsets. The likelihood that Bogus and Guemchi will actually produce exciting sets come the Ro16, compared to Bisu, is much smaller. More likely they'll end up in a one-sided matchup against a player who's far better than them like Jaedong or Flash, that produces 2 boring yawnrapes.

Tournaments are about whoever plays the best games advancing, not who is the hypothetical "best player" in a vacuum. Would you literally rather they not play games at all? That's what you're suggesting, essentially, and it's REALLY stupid. If all you care about is the "best player" don't look at tournament results. Just look at PR or ELO and ignore everything else because tournaments are designed to produce a winner based on a sequence of individual games, as opposed to how cool someone is. Tournaments are designed to make money. What do you think the sponsors that fund it are in it for? Less Known/Poorer players, less people watching, less profit. NATE executives are forming a hit squad right now.

Bisu's clearly not in top form, this we knew from his OSL performance and his games in Proleague. If he lost to Guemchi AND Bogus... then yeah, his MSL run deserves to crash and burn. Go BeSt!
