incredible micro by Flash.

what Micro -.-, he A-moved over a defenseless Kwanro and actually got alot of his marines picked off needlessly by lings. granted the game was over by a longshot at that point and he probably didnt give a damn, but that was far from impressive micro

Flash's micro was actually quite good. Don't be fooled by his one micro mistake where he reacted 0.5 seconds too late while focusing the Hatchery.

Flash's micro is evident if you watch his almost always perfect unit positioning - even in the Sunken break there's a reason why the backstab failed so hard to do damage. Later on he moved Marines around pretty well too.

Obviously that's not what won him the game but it helped make it even easier.

yeah, it failed because kwanro didn't use his lings right.

it's not like flash could have (or should have) predicted that kwanro would fuck-up, send his lings in at the wrong time, and just happen to have a firebat joining the group.

nah

Its better than any of us could do granted, but it wasnt exceptional in any way. He found a timing window and exploited it. maybe its just me but I saw about 5 marines picked off needlessly cause they were to far from the medics or the rest of the group.

For the more knowledgeable people: how important was the gas steal for Flash's strategy to work?

Not that important, what could have been the case is that flash prevented him from going ling speed early on thus reflecting such an attack, but I dont think it would have mattered since he would probably have gotten lair first and drones anyway... but its a possibility
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

In a way it was the only good game of the night. Hwasin played extremely well at the start but Zero played well to come back and win. Zero played impressively.

Jaedong took down Pusan too easily. Calm took a massive risk in that expo, lost tons of drones, blew everything, and got rolled because Fantasy could just smash mmmmmmm and ttttttttt in his base without anything ever happening to him. Flash just rolled Kwanro in like 5 minutes with a single force. None of these games were particularly good to be honest unless Jaedong, Fantasy, or Flash are your favourite player.

part of it being perfect (for fantasy) was how bad clam reacted to things (i'm gonna call calm clam now until he resumes playing good again).

Well, at least it's a game to teach us terran how to do well...

It's very rare to see Kwnaro get raped like that. In his last game he raped Movie who has excellent pvz.

Flash vs Kwanro wasn't a perfect game... Flash just had awesome timing and Kwanro played greedy and didn't put 3 sunks like he should've

The other half must have Bisu/Stork as their favorite player.

^ you're nitpicking about micro "mistakes" after the game was already done, the key battle was the zerglings + drones + 1 sunken vs the one medic two firebat 6-7 marine army. if the zerglings/drones had been able to kill just one firebat kwanro would have won that fight. flash's micro of his army and to manuever the trailing firebat around his medic (like a guard running off a staggered screen) won the game

It was more like Kwanro failed to make sunkens and Flash had a nice timing attack. It was wayyy to short.
