Creativity is a skill... and that's not what I am talking about. He said I changed my argument from 'who takes this game seriously to who remained playing' I am pointing out that I never said Mondi and the others stopped playing. I said they stopped playing competitively. Therefor he failed miserably and would probably be best fit to slit his wrist.

Even though you didn't write it in your first sentence of your first quote, you still wrote in your first quote that they are more skilled. But skill in here are things like harassing, army management, multitasking. Having good strategy means shit if you can't execute it well.

To further this point, the best strategey comes as a result of perfect mechanics, you can only perform great strategey with the help of mechanics to get you the units, positioning, and situation necessary, idc how great an idea you have, it wont work against a anyone ever when met with people with overwhelming better mechanics.

only reason new foreigners would beat the old school ones is because like what I said in first post. They just use what they see the Korean pros do. There is a Korean pro match on basically every night now for us to watch. Back in the day there was never any.

so getting builds from koreans and being mechanically exceptional is not skill? i would argue it's harder nowadays to stand out as a foreigner because of the easy access you mentioned.

NO, the reason is because there faster, and mechanically much much much better. Also they play with koreans far far more often so they get information that way. So let me go ahead and restate that idea so we can understand what your point is, old school sc players are better because there worse mechanics, and terribly executed strategies revolving around said mechanics would surley punish players that are far better in all measures of skill in the game?
