Why would it be undeserved? He was one of the 6 Protoss in the top 10 Kespa. I think that's how they were designated...the next protoss in the Kespa rankings was like 28 or something. But the top 6 were so so high that they were deemed "dragons".

It's tough to tell, seems like free's expansion is going up with no problem. Hogil's natural hatch is very low in hp, and could be picked off by an early zeal attack to bring free ahead.

On the other hand... Protoss army without the temps can get run over really easily. Reavers are useful but need shuttles for full effect and that's a lot more expensive than templars. Really though you're right about the protection: corsairs are useful.

HoGiL is really really good... His ZvT is Outstanding and ZvP is up to modern-ownage standards. However his ZvZ sucks.
Luxury was a "favourite", as was free, so there was expected to be a zerg anyway. Atleast the zerg we have is really good right now

In the mid game he was doing nothing. Either mass expand or attack the Zerg, he was half and half about it.

I actually think it's good for KT, and Flash that Lux is out of both leagues. During his MSL run in the winter, he was practicing more for individuals than proleague, which meant Flash had to play alot more games, as it was during the winners league. Now Luxury can deliver in proleague, and let Flash concentrate more on individuals
And HoGiL has always been a favorite of mine. He was looking good and promising 1 1/2, 2 years ago too, but since that he's been slumping. Nice to see him back in business

Thats a scary ass zerg line-up . Althought only Jaedong Calm Effort and Zero are all-around monsters . Looks like the zerg with the best ZvZ will make it big this MSL .

I'm expecting to see Crazy-Hydra, Firefist, and Saint drop out really fast. by.hero, Shine, Hyuk, and July will depend on their race matchups, and sAviOr, Kwanro, Firefist, HoGiL, and hyvaa will depend on quality of opponent. ZerO and type-b are total wild cards. Jaedong, Calm, and EffOrt will all be upsets if they lose before Ro8.
The only Terrans I really like here are Flash and Light. Hwasin, Canata, and RuBy all have potential but could just play bad and lose. Bogus, fOrGG, and Iris I expect to crash out.
Protoss? Kal, Movie, and Stork are the best bets. Bisu, Jangbi, and Guemchi I'm not sold on at the moment (hi, Shine), and Stats and BeSt could catch bad race matchups and die.
So, my ideal round of eight (consider this a semi-prediction before knowing groups or anything): Calm, EffOrt, Flash, Jaedong, Kal, Light, Movie, Stork. Race balance and everything. Probability of this happening? Approximately 3% (<-- yes I made that number up).

How about I say: Zerg qualified over 1.5 times as many players as Protoss, and nearly twice as many as Terrans? Or how about only 2 less than both of them combined? Free shouldve had that game..but hogils swarms are too good..and with hogil playing like that I doubt any other dragon wouldve made it out either. Especially not Best, Jangbi, or current Kal, alas that is a moot point.
And luxury's zvp is trash not as trash as yarncs but all he really does is all in, and that game vs bogus..he shouldve played standardly and won instead he suicides into3 bunkers..and yesterdays games LOL. I think Idra may be right, he probably does practices 2 hatch lurkers for like half the day or something. Ill say it it again if you put luxury and yarnc together and added brains..youd have Calm.

You know that just means p and t players will know to practice their vz matchups. That's a great advantage. Pretty soon z players will be dropping off fast. Just like oov and boxer dominating zergs because there were a lot of them.

Free's play seems back to normal actually..he only sucked in r5, which was funny because zero had the same problem which cost them a Playoff berth. But hogil has been playing good sc lately beat sea in finals of prelims, beat mind in osl and now free. I do wonder how much the map pool is playing into these results but nonetheless hogil seems legit, which is suprising for the cheesy/gimmicky players ogn has of late. Luxury has sucked since last year proleague, he did manage to win a msl yes..and he did get pretty far in that osl of the same season, but other than that he isnt that good and just allins...there was no reason for the game vs bogus...
