Oz is banking on the future, knowing that they will never win proleague without clutch play from people other that Jaedong. Oz should be developing players other than JD, but why someone as inexperienced and unsuccessful as killer? Why not someone like HiyA or Lomo? Because maybe he shows the most potential in practice? Because Lomo and Hiya have shown that they can be good at times but will never be great? Because there could be all kinds of a reasons a great coach like Oz's Cho who has proven himself time and time again might see something? I love how many people here are just talking out of their asses. Oz has ZERO chance of winning PL finals which is by the way TEN MONTHS FROM NOW if they just ride the JD train all the way there again. They're taking a big chance trying to cultivate other players because they want to win the finals, and they might fall hard on their faces in the process. Big risk -> big reward or big failure ... SKT1 went 4-7 in the first round last year, let's not go nuts here. Season's not over at all. zero chances? I know Oz reached the finals thanks to Jaedong, but lets not forget they lost the finals because of Jaedong too. Oz actually delievered in Bo7s... Yes, zero is an exaggeration, but I feel like they have very little chance if they don't find another star. Oz was already sputtering by the time they reached the finals. They rode a huge lead from the early season, as well as maps like Raid Assault and Battle Royal guaranteeing them wins back when JvZ was still in effect, into second place and ninja'd a win against CJ (they certainly deserved it, but they did lose 4-0 on day 2...) They put up a great fight in the finals (I was rooting for them) but a lot of teams were on the upswing last year (CJ, STX, even SKT1) and with KT looking like an entirely new team already, do you really think Oz is going to make it back again if they just keep doing the same old thing?

You'll break the player, not strengthen them.

That's why Hwaseung House #6 is so good. And IIRC, they also stopped putting Anytime in the lineup quite some time before he went to ACE.

keep in mind that the biggest obstacle to JD's resigning with Oz this offseason was that his parents felt he was being overworked—I'm betting that not sending JD for ace so often is a direct result of the contract negotiations that kept him at Hwaseung. It's just too bad that Oz doesn't yet have any other players that can perform well in important games. wow its been a while since ive seen such an accidental oxymoron play on words. resigning as in giving up, or resigning as in signing on for a new contract? dw, i get what you meant. but it was interesting in the moment =]
