With less than 36 hours until TL-Arena II opens its doors its time to start the polls and announce the players.
First some technical issues though: The show has been pushed back by half an hour. The event therefore will start at 22:30 CET, the 23RD OF OCTOBER (13:30 PST, 16:30 EST, 05:30 KST on Saturday 24th). Players, at this time, make sure to be in channel TL-Arena on ICC. Make sure you have the launcher on. Again, if you lag, we’ll kick you out – yes, we’re that ruthless :3 Our IRC channel will be #TL-Arena on Quakenet – we’ll try to read up on it during the show.

- Of course I am, WCG has always been a fun time to me. It's too bad there are just 4 groups this year though, and it will be very hard to pass mine with Jaedong and Draco in it. I've practiced enough to give a good performance though, so I hope it goes better than last year ^^
TL-Arena
- We based the concept of Arena on the minigame from FF7's Golden Saucer. You got your nickname from the main character of that game - how do you feel about being in the "real" Cloud's position?

- It's kind of funny, I still play FF7 from time to time and I have to say that the idea behind it is great. You did well using this for a Broodwar show
TL-Arena
- What handicap are you afraid of the most?

- I'm not sure, the obs one looked tough at first, but some of the ones I've read on the TL Arena II topic are just cruel! I just hope I won't end up playing without t1 units or something like that

- Yeah some are pretty ridiculous ^^ So Shauni made it out alive last time, but we've done our best to make it a bit more difficult. How far do you think you can get?

- I'm not sure, it really depends on who I will play and how well they will. It will be hard to make it alive till the end, but if I lose with 6-7 handicaps that would be ok, as long as the games will be fun.

Handicaps
NOTE: CPU Ally requires rigged maps. Since it came up again this edition we wanted to look into making these. Someone is making them for us but I’ll only include the HC if they’re done/tested in time. Also note that we can't enforce No Minimap - we'll have to trust ClouD and a Post-it. "Sudden Death" means Lose 1 Nexus = Game Over. "Glass Ceiling" means No Probe production after 10 minutes.

Looks like cpu ally isnt gonna happen  - please start voting for the others!
Remember that ClouD gets to pick the order in which he plays his opponents as well as the maps. Of course this will lead to some intricate tactical decision making like one handicap will make him want to get Zerg out of the way or maybe he wants to take down the high ranks first or save the Terrans for later but this may change his mind when he gets certain handicaps and play someone else instead or maybe not who knows?!. Like I said, very intricate.

I think that sudden death is the biggest handicap... cpu ally is bound to be dumb and just run into Cloud's units... and hopefully fanatacist gets those maps done in time

Uh, you tested the map. It worked. I am now loading the triggers to the other maps. What difference does it make if you have a voted map to add to the list anyways? There is no need to be overly formal about this, if I give you all the maps in an hour it shouldn't make a difference. Why does it matter that you give the maps to others? Can't the obs host the maps and have them be DL'd by the players anyways? Makes no sense, you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

All the maps have been sent to Pholon with the triggers he himself tested over a day ago. They have been sent 3 hours and 20 minutes before the matches begin. There is no reason for the maps not to be used.

and for the no minimap one i said you can play on window mode and just hide the bottom part off the screen (i assume thats possible). it'd be best if he did the entire bottom part so he can't even check which units are in which control group.
