Hey guys look like sushiman found out the secret to TvT alert the proteams all you have to do is turtle and drop. Repeat and you can't lose. Why the hell are you quoting me for saying things I haven't? And seriously, you can't say FBH just played with mindless aggression. He attacked in the spots that he could and should. Obviously not, he lost and FlaSh won so who really attacked in the right place at the right time. Meant plank, all you whinging KHAN fans sound the same. Flash defended, FBH attacked. FBH needed to take out the 3 o'clock base for the major part of the game, which he tried, and nearly succeeded numerous times. Let's hear an argument as to why he shouldn't attack there. I'm not a KHAN fan, nor have I rabidly attacked Flash and his playstyle. Whether or not I appreciate watching it is another matter. It's quite tiresome to listen to all this 'tears of khan-fans yumyumyum blahblahblah' nonsense all the time. Is it some sort of standard for rabid Flash-fans to sound that way? I am saying maybe if FBH was a bit less aggressive at times he might not have been in a position where he had to attack that base, and might have had better luck trying to defend it himself. There's usually going to be one defensive player and one aggressor in a match and FlaSh does well to wrestle the defensive stance for himself until it is time to make a move. Maybe if someone stopped to challenge this positionary arm-wrestle they'd take him out of a comfort zone who knows. Fair enough. In FBH's position there was little he could do however, since he needed to prevent Flash from taking the 3 expansion, and every time he attacked he softened it up enough to potentially taking it out in the next attack. For him to defend, he would've had to established a position before Flash took the base. Since that didn't happen, he played like he should've.
So why are you in the live report thread and watching the stream if you don't like watching flash? It makes no sense to do something you know you dislike then come here and complain to everyone who enjoys it for what it is. Of course you are going to get people edgy.
I like watching FBH? And their last encounter was exciting, so I wanted to see if FBH would win this time. Besides, Flash is perfectly capable of playing without turtling - his TvZ is top-notch, and he could probably play as aggressive as Iris in TvT if he bothered to. 'Edgy' is a poor taste of word. Most people tend to start rabid flaming if you post something negative about a player they like. I frankly don't know why, since, when it comes to Flash, it's comments about his extremely passive style, which understandably doesn't appeal to a lot of people. Especially when there's also aggressive styles that also work, which makes me confused about people flaming those who don't like the turtling style for 'not understanding TvT'.

As a fan of both Flash/KT and FBH/Khan, let me say that today's games were simultaneously exhilarating and depressing.
To the extent they were depressing, it was definitely not because of Flash turtling, so to speak.

wow KT is really owning this season so far.
|
nice stuff by KT, kinda sad and lame to see the flames going on by both KT and Samsung fans though
|
*facepalm*@Khan way to go FPL
Juni fucking blows Jangbi has fallen a long way(Violet is awesome) but Jangbi wins 0% of his games nowadays which sucks FBH lol, but again he is facing Flash and Flash>>>all non S class+all T
on the plus side its nice to see KTF raping and <3 Lux,Flash,Violet combo
Edit: On the other hand its really nice to see convergence of sc skill between all the 10 teams, and Khan is performing Ace level this season so meh,but pl became much more exciting with recent results.

Also, grats to Flash for reaching the all-time highest vT ELO.

It is understandable if someone has a certain preference for aggressive play, but some of the people in this thread made really dumb and clueless comments and just showed a complete lack of understanding for TvT. ''turtle turtle turtle drop drop siege siege drop drop turtle turtle turtle Lots of strategy there.'' The way the game unfolded (FBH getting an early tank advantage), being aggressive was pretty much impossible for Flash if he wanted to win. An aggressive style would have failed. Flash did the right thing (taking the other main and turtle up there) given the situation he was in, it was the only thing he could do and it won him the game.

Agreed. It's especially nice that eSTRO is doing well (so far).
I'm sure Khan will get their act together eventually, at least if we get some more P-favored maps in later rounds.

hell yes KT, 11-0 this round!

Flashhhhh! KT!!!!! Hell yes :D
|
OMG Khan how far you have fallen...=.=.
That being said, I'm really glad I didn't put them as my fantasy team =P
|
Gosh darn it!
Being a KHAN fan this season is just...depressing. They've gone from top-of-the-line in past seasons to absolute bottom-of-the-barrel in this one. Like, literally bottom of the line-ups. And it's really sad.
(sigh)

Imagine if ForGG wasn't absolutely dreadful. KT might be favorites going into the finals if this was the case.
|
god KT is so sexy.
So good to see the boys back in action

CURSE YOU JANGBI, you stupid deadweight.

It's awesome that KT is 4-0 so far but they haven't faced STX, SKT, OZ, or CJ yet. I will hold my applause until they beat those teams.

Flash is the thinking man's starcraft player. You don't win that many games because you can "turtle," you fucking numbnuts. These are two of the top 5 TvT players in the world for quite awhile, not BGH with your buddies. Instead of making excuses for why Flash won, try to understand why Flash won, and you might learn a little about the game.
