- Tips on PvsT, Gorky Island anyone? I haven't played much Drop maps before, so i don't know when to attack, and which units to use. How to manage defense good..
I try to use a quick 1goon2lot drop, DT... Basicilly trying to get many shuttle the fast I can, then stuffing them with units, but everytime you drop-- Good players will always have enough units to defend, and if they haven't, they'll just send a bunch of scv-- ... No drops works!! If the player is good, and I manage to survive untill early late game, Terran simply does a nice transfer tank push into my main T_T Help plz help

Open with 4 zealot drop, do some reaver dropping after that, take your expand behind your main, cover it up with some cannons, kill his attacks and start 2 stargate carriers.
There's no use in playing that map with shuttles, just do some fast carrier strat.

Won't Terran just continue expanding if they don't see any attacks coming? Will 1 expand carrier work--? ...I'll try it!! THX
EDIT: Hrmm, what's best thing to do, gas on 10th, or gate on 10th?

EDIT: Hrmm, what's best thing to do, gas on 10th, or gate on 10th? ofcorz it won't work lol. Speed shuttle is a must. Cannons/templars to protect expansions. Dont lose land part its the only way you can win. Get mass gates on ground and make a dominant army.

Yeah it'll work, just harass with reaver with speed shuttle, and make 2 stargate carrier while expanding again -.-
Just make sure you keep making shuttles though

4 drop zealot will get owned and also your cliff right after that. The only way it can work is make shutle before obs and guess his location or see a rax coming from a direction. But that is if you were making zeals already so its a gamble. Scv+gol will fend off those slow zeals easy. And you cant really harras the terran after he got some gols/tank and turets even if you have speed shuttle.

I played a game on gorky, playing that strat. I won vs a terran that would rape the shit out of you on every map (no offence).

No offence taken. There are a lot terrans that would rape the shit out of me. However i would like to see him rape the shit out of me before you talk like that. I don't know what you mean with that post tho. Because you win a pvt vs a good terran on gorky it doesn't mean the strat is viable or anything.

I dont get it. If you want it to be succesfull you gotta make the drop ASAP. In order to be as fast as possible you have to start make zeals before you know his location. You understand why i think its not a good opening? If you cant drop the zeals in time you have a serious problem ... And imo if you dont see a rack flyng to ur base you have to guess. And if you guess wrong it will be to late. Thats not playing safe... On gorky you need to play safe vs terran or you die.

To me a 4 zealot drop seems like a gimmick strat - if terran has troops out its pretty much failed from the beginning, because its horribly easy to micro terran metal vs a few slow zealots.
Not claiming anything, just seems like it would only work a few times.

I don't like a 4 zealot drop for the simple reason that it's too much of a do or die tactic for me
if he is in the last spot you don't stand a chance. not on Valhalla and defintiely not on Gorky. though on the other hand I can see why people would find it good for the simple reason that playing 'neutral' will get you killed anyway.

i saw you do a quick 4 dt drop. Thats much better imo. Cause you can follow up with can/templars and take expands.

I think a 4 zealot drop followed up by a reaver + 2 zeal drop can be pretty strong! not to mention that many terrans do some quick expand on gorky

they should put like a little min patch in the expand, like on namja ijagi or whatever that map is called. 14 cc can be really hard to stop on that map.
