I think it was boxer vs yellow when yellow first used stop lurkers and the crowd went wild, because boxer was walking right into it. The crowd went so wild that boxer heard them scream and pulled back.
Boxer was also responsible for having in game chat banned.

I think he admitted it in an interveiw, and said that it was just part of the game back then and lots of people did it.

I assume it was a round robin situation in which Yellow was first, Boxer was second and Doggi was third. By throwing a game to Doggi he could put Boxer into third so he wouldn't advance. This is pure speculation though.

if the replays arent published, it is very easy to make "slight" modifications, like faster unit production
I dont think progamers are "pro" enough to use that tool which extracts maps from replays and then to unprotect the maps to check if everything was correct.
