Your feelings on 3 consecutive victories?
- Because it’s my first time being on any sort of streak, I’m very happy and I hope I can keep this momentum and continue winning games.
If there’s a secret to your continual wins?
- In the past as I prepared for games I felt a lot of pressure but lately I feel a lot more at ease. There’s no particular secret but the coaching staff has been helping me out a lot, so I’m getting better at mentally controlling myself.
After a few vultures were produced, your opponent went bionic.
- Because I had a lot of time to practice, I encountered many different types of builds and this time as well, I didn’t have a hard time dealing with it. On God’s Garden, if zerg can get 4 gas and defend well enough, they can easily win so I placed priority on that.
Your use of ensnare with your queens was impressive.
- I wanted to raise the team’s spirits so I decided to use queens but I only used them once in practice so I don’t feel like I utilized them well enough. I’m disappointed. I’m not sure if I’ll have the chance to use them again in the future.
Is there anything you want to say?
- Just as in the past, the team’s morale is great and I’m also not being impatient but doing well. Last time when I played against terran, Justin hyung and go.go hyung helped me so I was incredibly thankful. I want to tell them I love them (laughs).

- 3연승을 거둔 소감은
▲ 이런 식의 연승 자체가 처음이라 기쁘고 계속 이 기세를 몰아서 이겼으면 좋겠다.
- 연승의 비결이 있다면
▲ 예전에는 경기를 준비할 때 부담감이 많았는데 요즘에는 많이 여유가 생겼다. 특별한 비결이 있는 것은 아니고 코칭스태프에서 신경을 많이 써 주셔서 마인드컨트롤이 잘 된다.
- 상대가 소수 벌쳐 이후 바이오닉 전략을 구사했는데
▲ 연습기간이 길어서 여러 가지 빌드를 다 경험해 볼 수 있어고 이번에도 어렵지 않게 대처했다. 신의정원은 저그가 4가스를 먹고 수비만 잘 하면 이길 수 있는 맵이라서 그런 점에 중점을 뒀다.
- 퀸의 인스네어 활용이 돋보였는데
▲ 팀 분위기를 한번 확 살려 보고자 퀸을 사용해 봤는데 연습 때 한 번 밖에 써 보지 않아서 제대로 활용은 못한 것 같다. 아쉽다. 앞으로 또 쓸 기회가 있을 지 모르겠다.
- 하고 싶은 말이 있다면
▲ 예전과 마찬가지로 팀 분위기는 항상 좋고 나 역시 조급해하지 않고 잘 하고 있다. 지난 번에도 테란전을 하면서 (원)종서형과 (김)창희형이 도와줬는데 너무 고맙다. 사랑한다고 전하고 싶다.(웃음)

Your feelings on achieving 2 wins in a day?
- Recently when I fell into a slump I came to realize how valuable a win really is. Once you have a sense of what it’s like to win it’s easier to show better performances but because I feel like I lost that sense for a bit so I was disappointed… but now I since I’ve regained that sense I want to win games with even better game play.
How was the first set?
- I didn’t do as much damage as I thought I could so it was difficult. As Geumchi was about to attack, I was able to delay the attack with the use of dropships so I believe that was a key factor to my win. Because I use dropships so often, the timing to use them reveals itself naturally to me now.
In most of your matches against zerg, it seems your 2 port-bionic combo has become your trademark build.
- If you think it’s difficult, it’s hard, but if you think about it simply enough it’s an easy build. If you just control well enough, it becomes easier to play zerg. Above all else, the build’s greatest strength lies in the fact that you can easily adapt to whatever the zerg does.
What do zerg have to do in order to block this?
- They’ll just have to practice a lot in order to properly block it. (laughs)
The team is also on a winning streak.
- The younger players are doing well and my games are also playing out smoothly. I will work my hardest so that we can become strong enough to head straight for the finals.

- 하루 2승을 거둔 소감은
▲ 최근 연패하면서 승이 얼마나 값진 것인지 다시 한번 느꼈다. 이기는 감각이 있으면 좋은 경기력을 많이 보여드릴 수 있는데 그게 좀 떨어졌던 것 같아서 아쉽고 이제 다시 감을 찾았으니까 더 좋은 경기력으로 이기고 싶다.
- 1세트는 어땠나
▲ 생각한 것보다 피해를 많이 주지 못해서 힘들었다. 승현이가 공격하는 타이밍을 드롭십으로 늦출 수 있어서 승리의 요인이 된 것 같다. 드롭십을 많이 쓰다 보니까 나만의 타이밍이 눈에 보이는 것 같다.
- 대 저그전에서 2스타-바이오닉 콤보가 트레이드 마크가 된 것 같은 느낌이다
▲ 어렵게 생각하면 어렵지만 쉽게 생각하면 쉬운 빌드다. 컨트롤만 좋으면 저그를 상대하기 쉬워진다. 무엇보다 보면서 맞춰갈 수 있다는 점이 가장 큰 장점이다.
- 저그 입장에서 이걸 막으려면 어떻게 해야 하나
▲ 많이 연습해서 잘 막으면 될 것 같다.(웃음)
- 팀도 연승을 하고 있는데
▲ 동생들도 잘해주고 있고 나도 게임이 잘되고 있다. 광안리 직행까지 노려볼 수 있는 전력이 될 수 있게끔 최선을 다하겠다.
