If there is a rule - referees have to enforce it. There shouldn't be any blame towards referee imo. It's Kespa's fault that there is such rule, not referees fault that he enforces them.

EDIT: so putting referees picture in the OP and implying that he's the bad guy is wrong.

Coaches and team representatives are involved in giving suggestion and feedback, but the one who has the final say are the guys from KeSPA itself.

Who are the KeSPA members? I mean guys who does decisions?

No idea on that, I'll check the KeSPA site later.

Update: I just checked, nothing much on the site. Just about different sections of the company, but no exact details.

STX shouldve lost 2 games on purpose to even things out. When the refferee's are to dump to poop, you always can take matters in own hands. Sportsmanship.

But referees make decisions too, they don't just blindly enforce rules.

Ah, reminds me of a Korean pro-soccer match where they let the other team score a goal after they accidentally scored while making a pass back to the goalkeeper.

Good manner is good.

That was just stupid, right???? the visual thing was crappy, so Leta types 'pp', and he gets DISQUALIFIED that is so fucked up, we all make mistakes right? When I type gg, sometimes, it just says g, not gg, it could be the same for leta, he typed it so fast, that the third 'p' didnt "punch in".
Stupid Kespa, i pity the ref. though, he gets flamed cuz he did his job lol

KeSPA makes the stupid rules, and the referees decide whether or not they should go according to the rule depending on the situation. They are the ones who make the decisions on the spot. Just because a rule is made, doesn't mean you must go by the rules no matter the circumstances.

Edit: I'll put the guy in the spoiler tag.

So still we dont know how many guys are deciding. I still assume there are KeSPA guys (as bigger portion), players, coach(es), TV guys and KeSPA referees too aka all esports industry represented.

Why is it that whenever there is a good organization, its always managed by a bunch of fucking retarded suits that have no idea wtf is going on. Its almost as if they want to drive esports into the ground. PP instead of PPP? Fucking robots.

AS has been pointed out, I Don't know why the referee is getting flamed for doing his job.

Blame the organisation (which a lot of people are of course)

Wow. KeSPA needs to realize that the rulebook is never going to cover every possible event that happens in game - there is always going to be some circumstance they aren't prepared for, and they need to base their decisions upon their own interpretation of what the rules would be for the situation. Seriously horrible call on the official's part.

His job shouldn't be to have such a strict interpretation of the rules that he DQ's a player for mistyping something when he didn't even have a fully functional display. Take any other competition - a lot of the decisions you are going to make if you are an official are going to have to be judgment calls according to your interpretation of what the rules would call for in such a situation.

Why should STX be penalized? It's not their fault that the KeSPA rules are idiotic.

No team would ever let that happen. I could understand STX petitioning for a regame instead of a DQ but not intentionally throwing 2 matches especially when that would cause them the match (losing 1-3) when Leta's win would've only counted as 2-0 at that point.

Also that is extremely unjust to the players that would have to throw their matches after they'd been working hard for around a week in preperation.
