After four seasons, you finally enter the semifinals. -First off, I’m very happy. I’ve wished to get into the semifinals for a long time…because I’ve had plenty of time to prepare, I was able to succeed. With this opportunity, my desire to win the championship is stronger than ever. I must win.
When you were behind 0-1, Stork chose to cheese. -I didn’t expect it, but I knew he used something similar before. In practice, my teammates used every strategy possible with me, so I was able to successfully counter.
If Stork attacked the Sunken with his first Zealot, what would’ve happened? -If that happened, it could’ve went down to the cannon. When I saw the situation, I immediately decided to use Sunkens. Because this situation came up in practice, I used a very cautious approach and built multiple Sunkens.
In game 3, did the mass Zerglings early game achieve anything? -The early Zerglings were able to scout everything. I used this strategy in practice a lot, so when it came to game time, I just followed my gut feeling to play.
You didn’t leave your opponent any chance in the end and won. -When in an advantageous position, I became more calm and collected. To prevent a comeback by the opponent, I focused more. Lately, there have been a lot of comebacks happening, so I took the time to take note of this scenario during practice.
You opponent in the semifinals is a Zerg. -I’m very glad to be able to go against a Zerg. It’s very good since I’m very confident. To be able to display my ZvZ abilities on a stage as big as the semifinals is very lucky for me. I’m looking forward to it, should be exciting.
Your opponent is new, so there can be some unexpected factors. -When I ZvZ these days, I don’t even take note of weird tactics, I just adapt accordingly, so I don’t feel any pressure going into the semifinals.
If you advance to the finals, who do you hope to meet? -I hope to have a showdown with Bisu in the finals. It should be spectacular and exciting, and I personally am hoping for a game like that. Because last time it was a showmatch-type event, I didn’t feel particularly happy after winning. If I meet him this time in the finals, I’ll be very excited.
Even though it’s a mirror matchup, thoughts on the map pool for the semifinals? -Nothing really, pretty satisfied.
The first time you entered the semifinals was in the 2007 EVER OSL where you went on to win the championship. -My target is the championship, I can feel my body yearning for a win. If I commit totally to it, a championship win is no problem.
Why such a strong yearning? -During my vacation these days, I saw a lot of players on the stage displaying an air of confidence and power, which excited me. This time, I definitely won’t waste this opportunity and will try until the very end. I think there will be a satisfactory result.
Last thoughts? -There are so many people to thank…first off, thank you to the fans. When I was practicing, I received 3 full boxes of snacks in the mail…Because of you guys, my helpful teammates and my coach were able to eat well. It is with your power that I was able to enter the semifinals, I’m very happy. I also want to thank my teammates who used their vacation time to help me practice. I also want to thank Free from Woongjin who helped me and gave me a lot of suggestions, thank you!

teammates? who? i mean, OZ's best toss is inter.young, backho is injured, and the only other toss in the A team is a new player named Perfectman. The secret behind JD's success was more liekly:
"I also want to thank Free from Woongjin who helped me and gave me a lot of suggestions, thank you! "
Yep, one of the top3 PvZ is what JD needs to practice for the ro8.
One thing, please odnt get overconfident against by.hero. Just beat the guy, he has a lot of potential, i would cheer for him, against any other opponent. Pity he cant be a royalroader. Only if JD fux it up. Please dont do that Jaedong.

It's slightly easier to be confident when you're the undisputed best ZvZer in the world.
I wouldn't mind a Bisu/Hero final, but too be honest I'd feel so bad for Hero if he lost... Imagine having your royal road blocked by the guy you eliminated earlier in the tourney? :o
But seriously. Jaedong vs. Bisu. These two titans are going to destroy the world if they butt heads on the big stage.

they are required to spend like 1-2 hours in the gym each day as part of the training, in addition to team-building excercises like soccer etc. (afaik)

haha I didn't think about that. That would be so ironic...

He kind of has it coming... Jaedong had to fight the maps in Arena MSL, Bisu had them on his side in the ClubDay MSL and in GSL2... what goes around comes around.

You do realize that Luxury played vs Fantasy before Jaedong played vs Stork right? And you do realize that Luxury lost...?
