Well to be honest with you, I think it was a great decision. As a Korean male I had to do it anyways and well, why not?

▼ So... Did you know ever since you won the OSL, no protoss won?
Yeah I don't understand that. It really confuses me why a protoss can't win an OSL
▼ What do you think about it?
I think the current protoss players don't think and play properly. They shouldn't be stingy about learning veteran protoss player's strats.
▼ Anyways do you think you can perform great in Ace?
Yes. I think I can do better than what I'm doing currently

Yeah I know. But the thing is I dissapointed so many fans of mine and got called out so many times that I have to pick up the pace. To be honest with you I really wanted to quit gaming all together
▼ Wow you wanted to quit gaming?
Yes... During my time in lecaf I almost had 0 break times. I kept overworking myself over and over until I came to a breaking point. I just couldn't handle it anymore.
▼ Did you ask your coach to extend your break time?
Yes, and he gladly accepted my proposal. But during my long break I would see my juniors practice all day. Whenever I see them practice and play live games I always think to myself "damn I can do better" or "if I was back in my prime, he would be my food." And I just wanted to play again. I wanted to regain my status as the great protoss player.

▼ So Lecaf has 3 big players, Jaedong ForGG and Backho
Jaedong has always been the bright star. During is rookie days he was my food but after a while, I started losing constantly. ForGG on the otherhand was the quiet one. He was always quiet in the practice house; never spoke more than 3 words. And since Jaedong is also a very quiet guy whenever ForGG and Jaedong are together it gets awkward

Oh and one time, our coach was like "lol did you guys have a fight or something?" jaedong would laugh "HA HA HA" and ForGG would blush up

Its one of my favorites to be honest. ForGG was VERY jealous of Jaedong taking all the leagues, not to mention even in practice Jaedong would win everything. But then now we see ForGG taking everything away in 1 league. I bet he was so happy he stuck it into Jaedong's face

Honestly, our protoss line is not good.
▼ Why so?
They refuse to learn the old ways. They are too mechanical. They shouldn't rely on their mechanics too much to win the game (he kinda hints that backho's mechanics arent too good to rely on)

Backho, for example is a player who is always in my shadows. Its a real pity because I really like the kid. But the damn kid won't listen to me. He is a great player but because of the trend of new protoss players he eventually screws it all up. He doesn't know what "Timing" means
▼ I agree, alot of protoss players are too 'small minded (소심, if there is a better word in english please tell)' about the timing windows. They get too sensitive about it
Yes and hes so stingy about his own style. Wish he would listen to me more
▼ Wow seems like you had high hopes for Backho
Even when Backho was taking my spot and I was losing 6 games in a row, NO PROTOSS IN LECAF BEAT ME. I mean I didn't practice for a couple of months. If there is one matchup I actually care about, it is PvP. In PvP I believe even Stork will have a hard time taking a game from me even if we play right now. Backho and every other lecaf protoss have NEVER taken a game from me. This frustrates me but at the same time makes me happy.
▼ What if you meet Lecaf during proleagues?
I would hate to fight jaedong, but if I meet Backho I will beat his ass. I even told him "You better practice if you want to beat me in a live match"

Yesterday a small OGN show called "스타뒷담화" had a special of Stork's OSL performance. It consisted of the OSL curse, Yellow 2.0, what went in Stork's mind and iloveoov. It said ALOT of things about games 1-5 and in general. I tried to get the VOD but failed, so I decided to translate the important parts.

▶ So! You're officially out of Yellow's Line, how does it make you feel
It was so awkward actually. I didn't know what to do when I won.

▶ You broke Kim Carrier's curse, which has been active since Kim Carrier was commentating OSL (following victims include Jaedong, Boxer, Anytime, Flash, Xellos, Yellow, and the Maestro), thats such a big accomplishment
Yes, I honestly thought I would drop at the RO8. It was so refreshing. I honestly thought I would never make it back to the finals.
note: Kim Carrier curse is the 2nd strongest curse known in Korea, where whenever the commentator Kim Tae Kyung chooses the next victor for the OSL, they fail miserably.

▶ Flash, Anytime and iloveoov made records that cannot be broken, however you made another record. You finally got an OSL title after 9 OSL qualifications. How does it make you feel?
I heard I broke GGplay's record of 5 OSL qualifications before the title, so I guess Im a little happy. I don't think this record will ever be broken :D

▶ What made you so much stronger in this league than the previous leagues?
The losses from Jaedong and Flash helped so much, however the biggest inspiration came from last OSL with July. When I saw July play, I was so jealous. How can someone make his opponents tremble in fear like that? How can someone who isn't at his prime like he used to be so good at mindgames? I had to learn because Flash and Jaedong taught me mindgames is what wins leagues, not how perfect your plays are.

▶ So, were you crying or was it because the champagne got in your eyes?
I actually started crying since the last storm happened. I couldn't believe it myself. When I finally won, as I proceeded to get out of my booth to hug my coach and parents TT and Jangbi shot champagne into my eyes. It hurt so much

▶ Yeah your final performance was very exciting, one of the most exciting one I've seen in years
Honestly, at game 2, I thought to myself "Damn I can't win a 3:0, thats so lame." I might sound cocky at that statement, but when I saw the walls of Anytime holding up his trophy against Boxer, I really wanted something epic like the Boxer/Anytime finals. Also the Boxer/Anytime finals was what really motivated me to become a better Progamer.

▶ You didn't go carriers... Did you do that on purpose?
I actually wanted to use carriers so badly. I really wanted to end game 3 and 5 with carriers but Fantasy denied me both games. At game 3, I didn't expect vulture/dropships, and on game 5, Fantasy kept destroying my probes with his vultures so I had to resort to arbiters.

▶ Your reavers... Well they were terrible compared to BeSt's game
I heard from other progamers, intotherainbow practiced against fantasy almost everyday using reavers only. I don't think my reavers were bad, just that Fantasy was so good blocking it.

▶ Haha yeah, it seems like BeSt practiced using un-ending units build and Bisu used darktemplars only to help Fantasy prepare
Yeah I could tell because his defense was amazing. But There was one player Fantasy didn't practice with. If fantasy practiced with this player, Fantasy would've won the OSL

Yes, Much kept teaching me all these builds that worked so well. And I told him NOT to practice with Fantasy

▶ At the OSL opening ceremony, you said you didn't want to win this OSL, rather you wanted to show your fans a great game
Yeah, I really didn't think about winning. Which makes me think of what iloveoov once said


▶ Seems like iloveoov was your inspiration, rival and goal at the same time
Yeah ever since the frictions between our teams and when Samsung was doing bad, our whole team's goal was "to be better than T1"

▶ At game 4, what was going through your mind
So many things, but mostly stuff like "Maybe I am the next Yellow...", "Kim Carrier's curse is working...", "How am I going to face my parents! I'm such a failure!"

▶ Oh wow, but at game 5 you showed such an amazing play
Yeah, but there was a reason for this. For the first time in my finals, my coach and teammates actually came to me at the end of game 4, and told me alot of stuff. They helped me so much!

▶ I remember the first time you came onto our show, you told us you ate 8 servings of steak by yourself
Yes I did.

▶ It must've been such a great day for Samsung
It was. Although I do feel bad for Jangbi. His game was on the same day as my finals, but everyone was taking care of me more. When our assistant coach was sent with Jangbi, Jangbi said "WHY WONT YOU GUYS TAKE CARE OF ME "

▶ Haha Jangbi is so silly, his league is at RO8 and yours was the final!
Hehe its okay he won anyways.

▶ So, here comes the real big question, the OSL curse
Yes it seems like I have one more obstacle to cross before celebrating

▶ The OSL curse has a larger effect on people when they win their title "dramatically"
Yes I know ;;

▶ There was one player who won the title just as dramatically as you, who just started showing progressing performance after the largest OSL curse slump
Yes, you mean Savior?

▶ Poor savior, we really thought he might retire
Yes it was a big slump. But I am confident I can break through the curse because I won so many silvers.

▶ Well, you have to get ATLEAST RO8. WOuld be better if you hit semifinals, but thats pushing it

▶ So during game 5 what would've happen if Fantasy would've built the refinery before you could gas steal?
That couldn't of happen

Terran players watch probe movements very carefully. I set the probe movement so Fantasy sees my probe but at the same time makes him think I did a proxy gate. That is why Fantasy built the rax first because he was scared I went proxy gate, therefore he would have no minerals to build the refinery.

▶ I see, thats why you did a gas steal so easily?
Correct, it would be economically impossible for him to build a rax and gas at that moment.

▶ Your thoughts after the tank kill?
I was exhilarated. Because of the gas steal I knew taking his tank out would be a great blow at Fantasy's mind.

▶ During that game your templars came out really late
This was probably not recorded on the screen, but Fantasy sniped almost every templar I made.

▶ Ahh that makes alot of sense because we were suprised to see the templars inside the shuttle
Yes I had to hide them in there or fantasy would've continued to kill them

▶ Did you really not know about the 9 oclock expansion?
No! I was so shocked to learn about it. I still get chills when I think of the possibility of what would've happened if I lost that last battle.

▶ Your final game really showed everything what a Protoss v Terran can offer (except carriers). It reminded us of iloveoov's hidden expo sense, boxer's vulture play, Reach's templar and Anytime's movement. Thank you for your time Stork

- How do you feel about the winner's league?
▲ After oov did a 3 win I was able to play very relaxed. Even though I lose we still had 2 more ace cards.

- You dropped both leagues, did it hurt you in anyway?
▲ Yes it did. Whenever I turned the TV on and they were showing the previews I kept thinking to myself "i want to be there." It was hard going to sleep sometimes. However I am preparing very well for proleague and other games. I am still depressed I dropped from both leagues though. I am actually very shocked I have to participate in offline prelims. Who knew I would not play for 3 months?

- Were you happy with your performance?
▲ I don't really know to be honest. Anytime got 2 kills however I knew he was still shaken so I was confident. When I got his shuttle I knew I won.

- You were given the time to focus on your proleague games more now
▲ Winning proleague games is nice, but there is nothing else to do besides practice for proleague, so it is pretty sad.

- How do you feel about the teamleague format
▲ It is fun. But I think the games are lower quality. Because the matchups aren't predetermined, people can mess up. We have to practice for 3 races on each map too. Teamleague seems more of a league to show 'how prepared you are' more than skill (???)

- How many wins are you planning for winner's league?
▲ I think it is an advantage to play first. If you win you have the confidence to win your next game making it easy. I like king of the hill type formats so I think I will do well. I want to say rather than numbers, I want to win whenever I have to chance to play. I think this is a perfect opportunity to stack wins.

- Any last words
▲ I will go to individual leagues in 3 months. Playing on teamleague format will be a good experience for me. I want everyone to see me do an all kill. Next KTF game, I will show everyone what all kill is. Also the maps are good for protoss.

- You got through wildcard with a perfect score
▲ It was a miracle. I knew I was going to be the one to defeat everyone, but I didn't expect to do win every single game. It was weird. I think it was because of my great condition today. I want to thank Backho for giving me a chance.

- How did you feel when you heard about wildcard?
▲ I thought to myself "omgyes." Because of the holidays I couldn't practice alot, and for that you are mean OGN (laughs)

- When did you return to the SKT house?
▲ At the evening of the 26th. I slept right away and prepared to practice but because it was chinese new years, I had nobody to practice with. I only had time to prepare what build to use and I got lucky with them too.

- Which matches did you think were going to trouble you the most?
▲ Mind. He was on a roll again and when he defeated Light I was very nervous.

- Mind did a 14cc
▲ I prepared a zealot harass build. I thought to myself he would probably double nex so a zealot harass would be very effective. Then I used dts. Because I bought alot of time using zealots and dragoons it allowed my templars to be much more effective.

- Goals for Batoo OSL?
▲ It seems like that I have been playing starcraft with my mouth rather than my hands these days, so I have been doing very terrible. I said stuff like "I will get to finals", "I can never lose to Zergs" yet I lost every single game. So I decided not to say much from now on (translator note: lol yay). I will however, take baby steps.

- Anyone you want to face in RO16
▲ I didn't really have the time to think about this because I got here very unexpectedly. Well the maps are zerg friendly, so I don't want to play zergs for a start.

- You have a very strong Terran MU these days
▲ I guess because of teamates Best, Doctor.K and Mujuk I learned their style of play.

- But why do you think your PvZ is lacking?
▲ I still am confident with my PvZ. But it seems like all my broadcasted games say otherwise. And, the zerg players are getting better these days. It seems like I have to switch it up now. It seems that every protoss is playing the same so it is easier for the Zerg players to prepare.

- Protoss is doing bad these days in general, do you think one of the problems = the map?
▲ I believe Protoss as a race gets effected by map balance the most. If there is no gas in the front Expansion, it is literally impossible to beat zergs. Its not that the maps favor zergs, rather they don't favor protoss at all.

- Last words?
▲ My fans cheered for me alot. I try my best not to disappoint them again. If I do win however, I will buy backho some food.

- You did 3 kills today, allowing you a win
▲ I was so nervous. But I am happy our team won with my win.

- Aren't you exhausted?
▲ I am very exhausted. But I won so I guess theres something to be happy about

- Your games today was absolutely brilliant
▲ I think everything is working out great these days. I keep telling myself "There is nothing to lose, I will be okay even if I lose" and it is working out okay.

- Your teammates aren't doing as well as people want them to. Do you feel more weighted by this?
▲ Yes I do feel as if much more weight is on me. But I try to ignore it and tell myself everyone did their best and it will be okay.

- You have 30 wins this season.
▲ My original goal was 44 wins this seasons, but I didn't expect myself to get 30 this fast... I will try harder getting 50 wins.

- Notice said he wanted to play a good TvT'r like you in the past interview
▲ I feel very honored. I feel happy that players want to play me. I wanted to play him too.

- People say you live in a slaved environment compared to your previous life.
▲ Actually it is the same. My health is better so I'm not getting mentally exhausted fast like before. I am trying to control my health more before there are better players these days. I think its because that there are so many good players I am trying harder.

- You still have many games this week
▲ I couldn't practice enough (only a day), so I will practice until I pass out. If I practice hard, I think the results will be okay.

- Shine is now in KTF
▲ I saw Shine play yesterday and he was really clean and good. In my honest opinion, I want everyone in KTF including me to absorb the OGN terran style. Shine came on Monday, but it feels like he is part of KTF already. He is in the same room as me so I want to become closer with him.

▲ Shine Hyung came to KTF and I want all the KTF fans to give him a warm welcome. I wish Shine will become a greater player than he was in OGN. And I wish Luxury Hyung would help out Shine hyung more often, I heard they were friends too.

▲ I was 1 kill and 1 loss today to be exact. To be honest this feels like a Loser's Interview more than a Winner's Interview for me ;;.

- After your all kill, your performance kinda fell down
▲ I thought I would become the same player I was before when I did the all kill (laughs). That time everything worked so perfectly, but these days it seems like Im returning to my old self;;. I have to try harder

- You lost against Hwasin
▲ He read me perfectly. Everyone could tell he prepared his absolute best

- How are you going to prepare for your later games?
▲ We've beaten every team we had a bad score against. Every team we will be facing from now on are teams we can take. I will try harder now, and show the real me.

- Shine is now in KTF
▲ He knows my dark past so it is very stressful;; (laughs). That was a joke, and I am extremely happy. In the KTF house the rooms are split by races but I hope we get closer

- People are hoping for the stronger KTF line since the entry of Shine
▲ I think we will get stronger. Shine didn't show many broadcasted games but when we were practicing each on in OGN I can assure you he is a very good player.

- Are you helping out Shine get adjusted to KTF?
▲ I want to help him, but I don't think I am in any position to help someone out (laughs). He will understand. I think

▲ Shine keeps saying sparkys is "our" team and I want him to stop that (laughs). I want him to get his ass to the KTF line.

- You have 2 wins, you can now get to RO8 fairly easily
▲ I am very relieved I did 2 wins. I will make sure my next game will finalize my entry to the RO8

- Your opponent was JulyZerg, who is no easy opponent
▲ I thought July would make it so it would be a quick game, but he planned a long game instead. So I just went with my plan and everything worked out.

- Your midgame harass wasn't quite good
▲ July Hyung was so good at defending everything. In every important spot, he seems to have set up hydras. But I didn't give up and I eventually destroyed 2'oclock and I felt like I was ahead. But I made sure I didn't let go of the game.

- What is the difference between July and the other Zergs?
▲ He understands protoss as a race really well. Whenever you play him, you can feel how good he actually is. For example, when other zergs try to scourge my corsair it really isn't much an issue, but when July tries to scourge my corsairs, no matter how much I concentrate on my movement, my sairs will always die.

- This was a MU that alot of people were expecting
▲ I didn't really feel pressured because we played so many times. But whenever I do play him I always believe I have to win.

- Next is Yarnc
▲ To be honest with you, this is much easier than playing July. I am confident.

- Soon you will face Jaedong in a BO5
▲ I can't wait. It has been a long time since I played a zerg in a BO5. I am so excited I can't think about what to prepare. I know my current zerg MU is bad, but I will make sure it will be a chance for me to recover my PvZ.

- You have 2 wins now
▲ I am so happy I was able to defeat Leta, but when I saw the game again I felt really dissapointed about myself as the game wasn't as good as I expected. However I am closer to RO8 so I am happy.

- Your wraith play wasn't too good
▲ I don't know why I did so bad. Recently there were games like this for me and I thought to myself "Oh no am I going to lose another one?"

- In proleague you got reversed killed by Light
▲ After that game I was really dissapointed about myself. When I practice I wasn't like that but every broadcasted game I keep on making stupid mistakes. Usually I am a more micro oriented player so I decided to change my style and I guess it was a bad idea. I still didn't perfect my long-game plan so I guess I have to work on that more

- Your next opponent is By.Hero
▲ We are in the same clan so I played with Hero alot. I keep hearing that By.Hero is a "SKT Killer" so I want to make sure we don't hear that ever again.

- Your opponent today was Leta
▲ I thought Leta's style was a brute force style. But after today's game I've realized Leta has a strange ability to turn games around even when it seems possible, so I was very shocked.

- How did you prepare for today?
▲ Because of proleague I couldn't practice much, but my small practice sessions for this game really helped.

- Last Words?
▲ Yesterday, I was practicing TvT with Flash and he told me "Flash/fantasy Combi Power will destroy Leta, so win your game tomara" and we both won our games against Leta. I am so happy we both were able to do this.

- You came back in a game that was lost
▲ I thought I was going to lose for sure, because I lost like this once before. So I just decided to show my fans a good game and everything worked out well

- Your early dropship was terrible.
▲ I scanned and saw no goliaths and tanks, but then I encountered so many turrets and everything died.

- How were you able to win?
▲ Honestly, I believed this was a lost game 100%, but when I defended 9 oclock I felt a little more confident. In Medusa, whoever takes the center has such a huge advantage so I was never ahead. Hwasin Hyung knew this too, but at the same time he tried to play so safe things started to go back for him. So eventually I was able to destroy his main and take the win.

- In 1 week, you won 9 games.
▲ I feel as if time flies by so fast. I can't believe I am a 9 win streak, and I will make sure I will do good and try to get a higher win streak.

- You played 3 games in a row with Hwasin
▲ Hwasin Hyung is on fire these days so I was so worried, but I am happy I won 2:1. I felt it today how good Hwasin Hyung. Even though I won today, I wish Hwasin Hyung doesn't break down and do well in later matches. Hwasin Hyung promised to practice games with me today and I hope he wins everything later on!

- Next you are playing against BeSt
▲ BeSt is such a hard opponent, but I have to get to the RO8 so I will practice really hard. I will never become arrogant and overconfident and end up as the same flash I was before.

- Next week is another tough week
▲ The coaching staff is really treating me well so I won't pass out as everyone expects me to. Like today, they gave me alot of time to sleep. It has been a while since I slept for a whole 13 hours.

- Last words
▲ I want to thank all the KTF terrans and MBCgame Ruby until late at night. Ruby has been practicing with me alot but he was sad I never mentioned him in my interviews.

- Your first win in RO16
▲ Last time, I lost a game when I had the advantage so I was really sad. So this time I decided to be much more thorough

- It was a BO win
▲ When I was practicing, all I thought about was to play it safe. I wasn't expecting a 12 drone hatch, but when I saw it I knew I won.

- Weren't you pressured because of the 1 loss?
▲ A little, but I just thought it would be enough to do my best

- Your next opponent is Kal
▲ I have so much to pay back to Kal so I will make sure I win. When I lost to him last time, I started to learn more about ZvP and earned alot more confidence. But just incase, I don't want people expecting my win because I might screw up (laughs)

- Its been a while since you had couple wins in a row
▲ I think you win some, and you lose some. I don't really care much for that.

- Last words?
▲ Its strange, when Flash wins, I win. But when Flash loses, I lose. This is so strange, and I would like to say I want Flash to keep winning so I can keep winning too. I want to see flash at a higher place, but until then I wish he keeps on winning so I do too.

- Your team has 6 wins in a row
▲ Because of what happened on the MBCgame match, we got to 3rd place in PL score. For that I am very happy

- When winner's league started, did you expect this?
▲ I didn't expect 6 wins in a row. During rounds 1 and 2, we were at the lowest point, but the new players of our team did their best, and soon at 3rd round they started to do amazing.

- What makes your team so strong in Teamleague format?
▲ Alot of people say we're better because we dominated the old Teamleagues, but the environment is alot different than before. Ofcourse it would be a lie to say my experiences with it didn't help but one of the main reasons why we're doing good is because my players has experienced everything. And ofcourse our fans have always been so great to us.

- You used your terran card alot today
▲ Using only the terran line wasn't something planned on today. Its just that all my terran players said they were confident to play today and they had evaluated all the maps and possibilities of every player. Especially SkyHigh, he knew Jaedong would play today on destination so all he did was practice on that map. I won't lie, I made many mistakes but I stuck with my plan.

▲ For me, this isn't a 1:0. This is still a 0:0 for me, so I will prepare like I would be if I was losing. TvP is still the most difficult MU for me, but it is still the most enjoyable.
