I was wondering this as well.
Since he made the comment at blizzcon (or WWI), not sure if Koreans would have heard this.

I always find it disturbing when they omit the swearing out of the translations. I just would love to see a translation with the full swearing. I understand that there are some expressions that are not viable for translation, but some are, and it emphasizes the meaning and tone.

LOL, we have that whole Neitzien thing...and little did we know, the Koreans were doing their own version. Wow.

It's Netizen, and it refers to a member of a site (like a 'citizen' of the respective site) I'm not aware of any other connotations

Shouldn't it be pretty self evident? Netizen = Net + Citizen.
Anyway, I want to know about the whole Savior and 2009 thing in Korea too. I pretty much passed it off as a joke until Savior actually started to destroy people. And now every game he wins is promptly followed by 50 "he's back" posts.

My cat cheers for Savior. I tell her she is an idiot. To which she replies 'meow'.
Stupid bitch cat.

Soon everyone forgets who annoying some Bisu fans are, and prey on a new bandwagon. So predictable, and boring

The only fans that are annoying are the kind that jump to the defense of their god player, rather than admitting that they got outplayed once in a while. That is rare for any fan base. You hear more Bisu praise lately because, shock, he is popular, and surprise! he is doing well.

If you post "yellow sux, silver master is gay" or something along the lines of it, you will get so much fucking shit from hundreds and hundreds of netizens its ridiculous.
Even if you say stuff like "Yeah but Boxer was better than Yellow", Koreans won't forgive you even if they have to talk shit about Boxer.
Its a rule in Korea everyone must obey; nobody talks shit about yellow. haha this is so true

I believe the Koreans are well aware of the significance of 2009. It's mentioned in quite alot of Korean threads and a fomos news post at the time :/
Thanks for this thread, made me lol !

I wonder if they'll find this thread...
Then they could talk about us talking about them talking about us...
ooh! and then WE could find THEIR thread, and talk about them talking about us talking about them talking about us

It's not rare for Bisu's fan base, though.
