God, I couldn't help but to feel so much nostalgia seeing some of these maps. In these days that I am starting to lose interest in the current proscene, this article just reminded me why I fell in love with this game.

Unfortunately, I don't speak Korean, so I don't think FOMOS is an option. And yes, this is longer than anything I wrote for school this semester. The longest paper I wrote was a 19 page paper on immediate economic viability of alternative energy sources, and that included three pages of sources. Also it was double spaced. Which is kind of pathetic, if you think about it. <_<

There's also maps with matchup-unique characteristics. Nemesis for example, was a through and through Protoss map, so it was never used in an individual league game. However PvP on Nemesis was unlike what you'd find on any other maps. The mains are so heavily defendable and so hard to crack that it led to one prominent macro-contain strategy, and just as quickly gave rise to its counter. I can still remember the massive shuttle fleets roaming that map, destroying sparsely-defended expos while outmaneuvering the standard protoss ground army. It truly is a unique sight among pro games. For its short stint in the proleague, Nemesis was a hearty buffet for PvP fans. There was also that gay game b/w Chalrenge and TheRock which ended in draw and reduced Rock to a weeping neanderthal.

Actually when I was playing lan bw in college(like 2 years ago) I was alaways using lost temple. Only after I have watched a lot of old replays I began to enjoy certain maps, and to know from the start that some maps will show great play in a matchup. One of my favorites is Ride of Valkyries in TvZ(also it looks really cool); hope they bring it back somehow.
