And I think Anytime's also too hard on Backho. Learning the metagame and timing windows is not exactly easy. While mechanics and macro is something that everyone can practice and understand. I think Anytime's game sense is just beyond lesser mortals like Backho and other Oz protosses, which is why he think they're so freaking lame. I think Anytime is criticizing them because they're stubborn and unwilling to learn timing windows and the metagame.
I know, but I'm just saying that what Anytime refers to as "old school" strategies is more based on talent rather than practice. If you practice enough and is fairly intelligent, you can do pretty well simply knowing the mechanics. While good game sense is something that not everyone can feel while multi-tasking at 300 APM.

No offense to Anytime, but he won't be as good in Ace. Failho cant win pvp unless he meets rock edit: On a serious note, if OGN makes more VODs, I'll translate all the goody backstage talk for TL He did 2-0 stork in GOM S1..hilarious matches.. It's his best MU, stupid bandwagons, this one's starting to get old too.
I was referring to the nested quote.

Anytime is one of the few pros who really has personality not just in his play style but his interviews too. I remember when he lost to Nada in the osl final but instead crying or anything he shakes Nada's hand and took the loss really well.
To me his interview to Backho does not seem like hes mad or anything. It just seems like a senior giving advice to his younger teammate. The way he talks just shows how close he is to Backho and how he cares for him.
I really loved Anytime's playstyle very entertaining and he has the coolest nickname for a pro ever besides July.

I really loved Anytime's playstyle very entertaining and he has the coolest nickname for a pro ever besides July. oh right actually in that interview he also states that he told Nada "We should meet each other in the finals." Infact he kinda felt happy Nada won.
and yeah like what ilikestarcraft says, he isn't angry or anything. During the interview he says this all in a jokingly cool manner. He isn't overconfident or arrogant its just that when I translate some stuff, some translation come out harsher than it normally is.

Yeah i agree its hard to translate the overall tone sometimes with Korean because it might sound abit different in english.
You might know this already but 소심 can mean shy but it can also be used to call people who are really sensitive. Like people who are 소심해 get easily hurt a lot. So it makes it seem like Anytime is saying don't get hurt or mad when I tell you to stop relying on your mechanics too much and improve your timing. Take it as a suggestion and try it out.
People with blood type A tend to be 소심해 maybe Backho is A형 ㅋㅋ.
Oh yeah forgot to say good job on the translation

Shit. ACE is no doubt the manliest team in PL. Time to change icon :D

I loved the "at liberities " translation but ...I'm scared the other members of the forum really think he is a G'ed out pro gamer "beating ass" and taking "bitches".

hahha I have a feeling something was lost in translation

Nah its just to give the interview more favor.
|
thanks for the translation! although I'm not too sure if I agree on the diction used... as previously said, I don't think anytime would call people his bitches, and I'm not sure if would beat backho's ass either >_>
but that's just my opinion!

anytime's the man. we need more SC bad-asses. >
This was a tv interview right? any links to the video?
|
lmao "i'd make him my bitch" what a baller anytime hahaha
|
The MSL finals between forgg and jaedong was a set up. Now why doesn't he mention that part? Both teammates, one has alot of titles under his belt, the other one not a scratch.
Caan't you see?

This so confirms my thoughts about Anytime. Great minds think alike.
Very nice interview and thank you.

no way man, both have negative connotations but "bitch" is so much more demeaning and harsh sounding lol

Even if the translator took a few liberties, it certainly makes it more fun.
