lets see, they are a private wgt team. Try joining them. My guess is that there is a password. Do you really think enough etc would allow a fake yellow or a fake nada on the team? Doubtful. Then again, it really could be anyone else on the team who is highly skilled. Just that there arent exactly tons of players who are that good. Its _probably_ yellow and _probably_ nada. However you are not _limited_ to 180-200 apm. You could get 410 also. Nada could get 180-200 and still be alot faster then you. You could get 410 and still be alot slower then him. 410 apm is nothing special, all it means is the person has nice endurance if its a long game. | ||

In the slower parts of the game (i.e. beginning where the most you're doing is building and scouting), a high APM may just mean meaningless clicking, but a high APM at mid or late game is quite different. At that point in the game, you better not be sitting around your base selecting and de-selecting your workers and buildings, and most people aren't. At that point, APM becomes VERY useful and can give you the advantage you need to overcome an opponent. Personally, I'm never in a situation at mid or late game where I think to myself "I'm clicking and moving fast enough to do everything I want to do", and I doubt anyone (even Nada) ever thinks this. The higher the APM, the more micro and macro you're able to perform, and those factors are huge in deciding a winner. Again, few people still argue that APM = skill. The argument is about the merits of APM and using it to assess a player. I think a high APM has many merits, and that it's also a pretty good way to assess the general playing ability of a player. It's certainly better than looking at their stats or screenname. | ||

Now a player with 100 apm can be as fast just not as consistant as a 300 apm player but I'd say the 300 apm player is most likely going to have a better reaction time -..- Btw, I think trying to improve your apm is a good idea When you realize you wont go that much faster by just trying to go fast and then play normally you'll play much faster! | ||

If U produce in your gates really fast then do nothing u have good speed but low apm. if u use ot keys 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 and don't do anything with them U have good apm but your speed efficiency suxx. APM == action/min wich means it counts all the useless actions and all the bad actions. U can not compare it to skills or to speed. PS: what I call bad actions is moving your units to the wrong place buy miscliking for exemple. that's an action but that's doesn't go with what players call speed. | ||

If the game isnt important, my apm is 20-25 LESS THAN IT IS IF THE GAME IS IMPORTANT. On most wgt/practice games, my apm is roughly 95-100, like kiddie. When I played wcg syracuse and my real wcg games in california, my apm was 115-125. It really is a matter of concentration. And sometimes I do play slowly and I know it. If I concentrate and try to play faster, I get more done and play better. apm isnt a great measure of skill (although an obvious correlation exists), but it IS a good measurement of speed. | ||

If you macro your gates really quickly and then do nothing, as someone suggested, then you are wasting time. Every second during which you do nothing is a second that you opponent used to gain a slight advantage over you. There is always something to be attended to in Starcraft, and a large part of becoming a really good player isn't building arm muscle for speed (ludicrous, if you think about it), but always knowing what to do next, or even several steps into the future. That is what allows for sustainably high APM. | ||

Moving faster at first and then take this moves to micro and macro and like he wrote when you play normally you play faster. I took the same way like Arbiter and it works. I do everything faster better than I did it before. I was about 150 and now I'm about 240-300 APM and not every clicks of course are usefull but despite it I went better. | ||

are those APM's really that hard to get?? i mean, _i_ couldnt get 300, but when i mentioned how hard APM was to testie, he told me its useless - and proceded to get 280 in the 1v1 we had. He averages 130-150. If Testie can do it, couldn't others' as well? sorry for being very very late, but Testie's APM can reach this. Don't know if u knew, but Testie played in TLTour, under the account 'AlwaysOvr200APM' (finished #37, 44-8). His APM ranged from 200-500, one game it was 510, one game 490, other games were 300s, 200s. The only time it dropped was the last 2 days of season when he was struggling to get top 32. | ||

No, but that was not even close to how good a 2000 gamei zerg would play -_- When I signed testie up, he asked me what race I wanted him to be. I said go zerg, he said ok. Testie is a RANDOM PLAYER. He got 2113 RANDOM on gamei (always telling his race). 1 game doesn't mean anything. I saw the games in TLTour, he was planning on getting top 32 and winning, but missed it b/c he got lazy. He didn't try in the regular season, that is why he lost 8 games. He mostly just sat there getting rediculous APM scores. | ||
