Anti-cheat for ladder matchmaking
Anti-cheat Bot cheating has exploded over the past month. Sagi.gg analyses every ladder game it processes, and while building this system I found cheating has been happening far longer, just more subtly: perfect opening splits without selecting a worker, rallying and producing from every building at once, moving 30+ units simultaneously.
The system detects consistently impossible actions, flags them, and sends them for manual review. It's deliberately conservative, and so far there have been zero false positives. Confirmed cheaters are labelled on Sagi.gg.
When playing using the launcher, flagged players can't be matched against you. If you meet a cheater, refresh their profile (or yours) on Sagi.gg to submit the game for analysis. The game will be analyses within a minute or two and they will be automatically flagged and won't be able to match against you or any other user again.
It's rudimentary for now, but there's a lot of data to build on, and I expect to catch subtler cheaters, map hackers and people trying to evade detection. I'll expand it carefully, because no one should ever be falsely labelled. u/Jadien has kindly shared his bot-detection code and data, which I'm working through now.
Why release client modifications now? I built the 16 : 9 SD mod months ago but held it back because I didn't want to open Pandora's box. We're well past that point, and ladder has become unplayable for many, so it's now a necessity.
An appeal to any future launcher creators: please stay within the boundaries the game has established. Creating advantages the game never offered is a race to the bottom.
Can we have wall of shame that lists out all the cheaters.
Yes, I've been thinking about how far to take this (level of detail in how they were cheating) because I don't want to give away too much information for getting around anti-cheat, but there will definitely in the near future be a way to list all the cheaters on the website.

Awesome Thank you! A hero appears when he is most needed, right?
I read the OP when it was first posted and I've already had friends DM me on Discord telling me about this, word is spreading
That is unfortunately the nature of SC launchers and a problem past launchers have faced in the past. This involves DLL injection which can be flagged by some people's anti virus.
I've been waiting to get an application signing certificate from Microsoft (hopefully comes this week) but that will only improve the threshold of flagging against AV and won't actually involve any code difference.
Just tried it out. Is there anyway to add the extra stats to the end screen for 3v3 games? It seems like because there are more players, the extra info is pushed to the bottom and therefore doesn't display. It would be interesting to be able to scroll down... me and my friends mostly play 2v2 and 3v3 so, it would be helpful to get those extra stats. AMAZING work though, it's crazy to see the unit selection live in the replay.
One more request and maybe I missed it, but it would be cool to be able to lock in to one player's perspective... AKA the camera follows where they are clicking and selecting.

Is this project OpenSource on GitHub, so we can check? There has been way too many Starcraft Launchers that did shady stuff in the background (e.g. CryptoMining). Not like I want to suggest that your launcher does this or any other shenanigans, but better safe than sorry.
Edit: Just to clear it up (since I forgot to write it beforehand), amazing work and really great fix on the SD graphics. The Blizzard SD graphics was pure eye cancer but this seems to be the original graphics, which I would sometimes play as well. Also really good that you implemented an AntiCheat. Would love to start using this launcher and its amazing features. If you could provide the project as an OpenSource project on GitHub, it would be so great

It isn't and I understand this sentiment. Part of why I was hesitant to release is that I cannot open source. I would then be the villain that puts the nail in the coffin for sure. I put a lot of work into this into finding out what can be done while playing online without being booted etc, that combined with the anti-cheat (cancelling match making, booting players) would make it open season if it was released open source.
I understand your hesitancy and I'd share the same concerns.

Better stats for games with 3 or more players will come eventually but it's not on the roadmap in the near future.
Camera follows aren't really possible, we have no camera data in the replay files. Some people try to fake this in replay viewers by following the camera where actions happen, but it's not a 1:1 match.

This is the first time I'm hearing of a sc launcher mining crypto in the background.. Which one are a u referring to? I imagine this would be the easiest thing to detect since it's so resource intense.
im using bazzite. got to start the launcher and locate the game but sadly thats about it. playing won't start the game even though it states "running" for a second or two. Well, i guess i have to wait for linux support or better windows support on linux even though it got pretty great in the last few years. looks great in the vid btw.
When I try to start it I will get an error 103 "Starcraft is not running". I also can't enter the settings tab. The launcher just closes. Is this because I'm using windows 10? ^^
Update: Champian helped me with the issue on discord :D
WOW when I play on SD again... 1998 SD... this is f****ing amazing... I can play & see again so much better..... you are a fucking wizard and a badass.
There are so many parameters for enhanced SD graphics. Do you guys have some recommendations to get the best rendering? I get confused by switching on/off some of them not being sure if this is "better" or not.
Also, will it be possible to exclude a set of colors instead of just picking up one for the main player?
let me rebind hotkeys further. This is a quality of life feature i want the most. I want to put my main base on f1, and i want tab to stop making my minimap dark.
