Active Server?

Hey, I'm searching for a server besides the basics ( Us.East, Us.West, Europe and Asia ) that is running, I tried a couple from searches I did and some crashed my SC and others just said unable to connect. I assume that means they are no longer running, if someone can help me get a working one that'd be great. It doesn't have to be active a lot, its just something for me and a few friends to play on. Thanks a lot in advance

if you have Vista then you need to do some work before you can connect to private servers.

I'm assuming you've tried ICCup, Brain Clan and Fish? (are those two still running?)

I am using Vista, and I tried Brain and Fish. Any idea where to find the info on how to set it up?

To be able to play on private servers while on Vista, do this:
- find cmd.exe (usually in windows\\system32)
- right-click, run as administrator
- type " bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff "
- should get a 'success' message
- reboot

Iccup is by far the most active and best one currently. I'd recommend playing there first. Its also easier to get games on ICCup as Brain and Fish server is almost entirely korean.

I got to run and the bcdedit.exe part, but after that I can't get it to do anything <.< It just says "Environment varialbe {current} nx AlwaysOFF not defined" when I don't do /set and do set etc. etc. but when I do /set it says "/set" is not recognized as a command.

chiflutz, what does that method actually do? I mean, what is it you are turning off? One method of getting private servers to work on vista that I have read involves turning of data execution prevention, which I hear is pretty fucking vital to Vista's security. Is this method the same, or doing somthing similar?
