Wrong, the korean level of play has been going up at a rather high pace Second, Grrr and elky is the only two foreigners in korea. They are the best 2 foreigners in my opinion.

and naz, I know a win is a win but the game against kingdom was 100% cheese win. It doesn't exactly reflect his tvp gosuness. But it's interesting to see that you think elky's tvp is better than sync. I snuck in Kos there because if you ranked elky's tvp higher than Kos, then I would have known your opinion was biased. But you passed that test. GJ naz!
Before the game Elky put in a request to play as Zerg (he had registered as a T player, not random) and Kingdom said no, so elky was forced to play Terran ;O Kingdom being afraid of elky's zerg is a victory in and of itself:D

Fox cheese = strat highly dependent on random factors who gives a fuck. if he does a "cheese" strat and you lose to it it's you own fault. if i 4pool you every game in a series of 7 and i still win, i'm the better player. it doesn't matter how you do something as long as you get it done. nazgul "cheesed" jinnam in about starcraft, but he won didnt he? you could say naz sucks and it was luck, but he was on the show the next week wasn't he?

its gay to say that he is good cuz of his record on OGN, as far as i know jju has the higest rank in OGN but just cuz he ahs played only a cople of games, so if i play one TvZ and win it i have 100% of wins but that doesnt make me better than boxer, elky is good but get real, he doesnt have the best tvp in the world.

lOl quite a nasty metaphor...but true in a sense.

Elky was better then than he is now.
Before he used to be a super-elite TvZ like BoxeR, going 3-1 vs Yellow (I will admit, they were practice games, but they were still incredible performances by both players). Now Junwi owns his like no tommorrow, and he has trouble against Zerg in general
Also, if you look at him in the Team Leagues he loses his games a lot. Recently he lost to a member of Ktec(IS), COME ON (to be fair, IS has been getting a lot of lucky wins lately).
I hate to propose this idea, because I like Elky, but could he be becoming another Mumyung!? He manages to qualify for the Starleagues but he has done bad in them for the last two seasons. It's still way to early to tell definetively whether or not this is true.
Does Elky suck? Hell no, no matter how dissapointing he is on a pro-gaming level he could still kick any of our asses (2-1 vs Froz). But relative to his Korean pro-gaming peers he has been very dissapointing.

if u 4 pool every game then u wont win a 7 game series u might get 'lucky' once and win 1 or 2 games thats why its called cheese

Wait...I thought Leg was in Korea too...
When did Naz stop playing in Korea? (I guess I haven't been following the BW scene in Korea very closely -_-)

How popular is/was Elky? Did he have lots of screaming fans and so forth at his matches? Just wondering overall how he was viewed by the Koreans.

Elky is fucking good.
That's all there is to it.

mindspike, theres a difference between luck and you're opponent not being ready. if i 6pool and 2 sunk in ur base zvz, its not luck by me, it's your own fault u couldnt stop it. it's lucky if your opponent misclicks and clicks move instead of attack and runs right into your tanks. its luck if your opponent makes a mistake and his probes get bunched up and your reav kills them in one shot.

lol, coming from you, Rek... i'll take your word for it.

No he wasn't. Did he suddenly get stupid? Did he suddenly forget how to do things he's done for years beforehand? no.
Comparatively, he hasn't been increasing in skill at the speed that other progamers are but he hasn't gotten worse. ;(

why you guys all questioning ekly's skill base on some online tour? those are not seirous games. Actually almost all of the big names in tlt isn't playing for real, they all holding back for sure.
