EDIT: Well, if you're saying that neither side gets detection, the ghost has the same ability as the wraiths (attacks ground and air, cloak). The nuke takes supply, so is it part of the ghost definition of a spell? | ||

i think it's either: lurker, dt, ghost, carrier, wraith carrier will beat ghost imho. ghost don't have enough energy to take down a carrier. but wraith imho beats carrier. and wraith can beat any other stuff too. so i go with wraith. EDIT: ya... dark archon with mind control but dies to dt. | ||

burrow vs all cept vessel and templar build building vs those ;( if you want a serious answer, without special abilities or micro im fairly confident the archon wins 1v1 vs anything, even bc. with special abilities, dark archon beats mostly everything, with exception of wraith that has enough mana to kill it off without uncloaking. with micro and without special abilities, carrier should beat all. | ||

So now onto DA vs invisible units. Well, I believe Maelstorm reveals biological units? So basically if that's true then DA would win vs all zerg units, dt, ghost. The only thing it'd have problem with is wraiths and observer ('cause I don't think maelstorm reveals robotic units?) As for vs wraith, a high templar w/ 3 storms might be able to kill it off. Ghost might be able to kill it w/ lockdown (keep in mind ghost could have 2 if there's enough mana). And a burrowed hydra might be able to do damage to the wraith when energy runs out, then burrow and repeat, since hydra regenerates I think wraith has the lower hand? HT also could win vs most, with storm capable of dealing damages to air, ground, cloak, noncloak, biological, robotic, whatever. Just have to be able to kill off before it dies. So DA Wraith Temp prolly the top 3 IMHO. | ||

Ghost can't beat Wraith. If they both cloak, they both run out of energy at the same time, then ghost loses, and if ghost stays uncloaked it simply dies. Wraith can't beat a properly microed hydralisk, it can lose vs HT, even vs a dragoon if it manages to stay alive, and ties against DT/obs. Without the DA, I'd give it to the wraith though. Removing special abilities, carrier in case you can go over unwalkable terrain. | ||

Now wraith is tricky. it depends how the fight is set. do the units see each other since beginning? if so, assuming no other aids, that means wraith is in range of mind control, meaning DA wins. If not, wraith will have to find the DA then cloak, since wraith can't stay cloaked forever and just look around -- means it has to be visible at least until it sees the DA, meaning the DA sees it and mind controls. Now let's assume somehow a cloaked wraith got within attacking range of a DA. with wraith's shitty anti-ground attack and da's regenerating shields, it's plausible (anyone wanna test?) that DA can live until wraith runs out at which point it's gg wraith. so DA even possibly (likely?) beats wraith and ties with obs. we have a winner  without da, random fun ideas: medic against anything visible can flare and never be found again.. >_> queen can ensnare anything and run around like an idiot (one of the fastest units in the game?) and pretty much tie everything it can't broodling | ||
