Seeing as how we got little to no comments on our first one, we just finished a new one and we would really like some feedback. Note that these are postgame analysis, like Nony and Day ones, but we still are trying to reach the Nony/Day level of postgame analysis, we definitely aren't there yet, but it seems we are the only dual commentators so far.

I think you should learn basic strategies and build orders before doing more of these, you seem to question simple decisions like 1 factory (for 1fac cc). You also should learn what constitutes an economic advantage. 2 base terran will beat 2 base protoss, which is why tester got a third, a third base vs terran won't necessarily give him a big advantage. For the same reason (terran bases are worht more than protoss bases), oov probably didn't push too much mid game, he was just trying to keep his own bases.

Also, sometimes, when there's not much going on, your theorycrafting gets a bit out of hand too, mentioning the possibility of nukes..?

All in all, it's nice format, but you should learn a bit more strategy and be able to understand what you see, not simply theorycraft out of nowhere.

yeh u really should stop for a bit and work on your knowledge first.. if you truely wanna be good commentator. once u get your foundation of basic builds and basic mindset of the matchups. u will have an easier time commentating.

You keep criticizing the players and bringing up kinda random points, but you ignore their micro. Like theres a huge fight with oov at the bottom of a ramp and you're only talking about emp.

Then theres a bunch of storms and carriers but you're still complaining about oovs play.

i think this commentary is good for people who don't know about starcraft. Like, wolf, u ask so many basic basic basic questions. I don't think its appropriate for someone on TLnet, but for the general public, the explanations are very good for people who don't frequently play starcraft.

(the commentating seems to come from a terran point of view)

(wolf, u question everything...it makes it seem like you know nothing.)

In the first few minutes it's like goodjo is teaching superior how to play by him asking questiosn and him supplying answers, like goodjo is your teacher and you were just going over a rep and hes trying to teach you simple shit. People on TL.Net won't really be able to get into this because we all basically know why terrans make early game marines.

During part 3 you only talked about his shitty dmatrix, maybe he didn't upgrade EMP, and serously carriers don't get a highground advantage (Highground refers to the 70% hitting which isn't effected by air)

Yea, i don't think its Oov's lack of EMP rather his lack of timing (which was emphasized later on)

you guys focus on small details too much rather than the large ideas.

err instead of starting new threads for each commentary might be a better idea to just post it to the central audio commentary thread maintained by sr18? so we can have a single thread for all commentaries. Up to you ofc but that is my suggestion. i'm posting all of mine in that thread anyway rather than clutter up the board every time i make a new one

In general I agree with Klaz, but considering that neither this commantator duo nor Zalfor got any comments in the central thread I think they are entitled to their own thread.

After a few days the thread will fall of the top of the list anyway and hopefully the new commentators will have had enough helpful feedback to improve on their commentaries (and find out if people even want to hear more). Afterwards the new commentaries can be posted in the central commentary thread (so there is less chance that I miss one ;-)).
