I don’t think flash’s team should be in last place but I do think I underestimated the team with best larva and piano

sponsored by shinhan investment, which is related to shinhan bank; not really that surprising considering they used to sponsor PL.

CadenZie: do you know why your team calls you 'denze'?

nickname? 'Ca' difficult to pronounce? something else? Just curious.

My mistake, Stork didn't call Noble an asshole- I did. That guy would trade ethics for a few star balloons.

Also if I had to guess why Koreans call Cadenzie "Denzie" is because Korean given names are (usually) two syllables, so they may feel more comfortable this way.

Does the sponmatches site Cadenzie has linked have an English version?

Where can I find informations about Ladies ASL? Apparently there is no Liquipedia page for that.

With the aid of true magic aka Google Translate i managed to browse the site and understand the names of the girls xD

However, whereas sponmatches results are easily accessible, I couldn't find informations of previous tournaments(LASL and stuffs) if not mentioned as achievements under the profile of the girls who won them.

Is there anything else regarding Afreeca Female tournaments on the site if you can properly read korean and look more carefully?

On Cadenzie's page it says she won Ladies ASL 6, and both seasons of Starcraft Destruction Matches.

Before, you can assume Aegong was dominating the scene, with Sera unwilling to play.

if you want full information on tournaments and stuff maybe eloboard is better.
but again its not perfect...
theres no english website because there has never been much foreigner demand for this stuff, theyre not even on that esportsearnings website.
so im pretty much the only foreigner who knows about any of the multiple lowkey tournaments every month...
http://eloboard.com/gnuboard/bbs/board.php?bo_table=bj_list
http://eloboard.com/gnuboard/bbs/board.php?bo_table=bj_list&wr_id=33

If youre interested though there is a few tournaments upcoming that i'll feature in; such as a full female proleague start of january where i'm on a team with sharkgirl (the girl who used to feature in many of jaedongs videos) and others.
+ Show Spoiler +
[image loading]

Also young&old season 2 ($4k prize pool) where i believe i'll be a team leader choosing my team of girls + old progamers... almost like a reverse MPL, LASL will probably be sometime in january too.

previously there has been queenimal league, female race wars, young and old season 1 and LASL in the past few months along with a bunch of animal/amoeba tier leagues/tournaments (such as LACL end of last month; which is like a a lower skilled LASL for newer girls).
even i dont know about a alot of these leagues though and its not advertised anywhere in english, as there is assumed to be very little to no foreigner interest.

Thank you!

I might be wrong, but I guess the lack of demand is caused by the complete lack of availability for any non korean speaker; I think foreigners could actually be interest in Starcraft female leagues(and streamers) but the language barrier is too high at the moment.

I did not check Eloboard as accurately as Sponbbang, but it effectively seems to be more detailed as it lists important placements in addiction to victories.
However, I couldn't find informations such as the age of the girls or dates and brackets of the previous tournaments(a Korean Liquipedia is needed xD).

If it could be of any interest, looking at Sponbbang i found out the following informations(Google Translate is directly responsible of the names of the girls I didn't already know):

-GGoni won LASL 1, Aegong won LASL 2-4-5, Kongdubu(Beancurd?) won LASL 3;

-Ponuna won LACS; -Sharkgirl won Hang Ent. Starcraft League;

-Patch won the Animal League in BBOSL while Ahrin won the Amoeba League;

-Apparently, both Deinti and Bruce won the YOUNG&OLD Hybrid League(were there two seasons?);

-Jiyu(Chzh?) won Moo Proleague S1(there are two entries here and I can't understand what 다승왕 means);

-There were seven winners of the Queen&Animal League, so i guess there were seven seasons(is it just a competition played by girls from both the leagues?); in no temporal order, Sera, Kongdubu, Ponuna, Deinti, Choehani, Honeybee and Warm.

I am very curious and i have tons of questions, such as when did the BJ phenomena become to fluorish, how could Darin not win anything being so good and playing so much or how is it that the girls are so good looking on average; however, it's not my intention to annoy you.

I will surely be following future tournaments now that we have an harbinger in Cadenzie

young&old was a team league so there is multiple winners, also same for queen&animal league; it was a team of 7 iirc, my team lost in the final after i dropped my game to sera and ggoni dropped hers to kongdubu, which i think has put ggoni on lifetilt since then; as she was our last player and if it goes to the ace match everyone expects me to win, and so she isnt performing as well as of late. I hope things pick up for her again soon.

most peoples usernames do mean things but i dont remember what everyones is, for example i think aegongs username means little princess or something?

Darin did win something... pianos 2v2 league season 2. she didnt win LASL because i beat her 3-0 in the semi final and she didnt enter the LASL before that apparently, but i dont know a whole lot about pre-cadenzie LASLs, and the people i asked in Korea said they didnt know much about them all until i came over too.

So i guess thats around when the higher level female players started to explode more in popularity, until then it was mostly the lower skilled females who everyone was interested in i believe (as seen in mpl1).

Darin's teams did badly in the BJ leagues too but that thing is partly a popularity contest tbh, its kind of about who can attract the best players to play with them since its not a draft. she is getting pretty strong though especially from learning zvt from piano for the past 5months. Now that aegong is on pianos team for mpl i fear she is also becoming a zvt monster. D:

aegong, darin, doomi, sera and I are all moderately close together on skill level so its pretty fun playing in events with them and i think we all improve well together.

Jiyu/Chzh is Stork's fiancé. I can't remember who, but an Animal Tier player quit at the last second for Moo Proleague so she was brought in at the eleventh hour even though she's (in the lower half of) Queen Tier material. Also 다승왕 (lit: all win king) would translate as players with the most wins.

So onto a brief history of the female Starcraft scene. And as far as I'm aware the female Starcraft popularity really took off with Hang Entertainment's all female tournament led by Ginewda. This also seems to be why Effort/Ori3, Organ/Dudan, Best/Dotor2, Action/[like ten people] are still doing content where the progamers teach female players. The popularity of having progamers teach females culminated in the MPL, which was wildly successful and also featured meme-worthy games the hardcore Starcraft fans hadn't seen in a long time.

Zeus watching Dana lose after she got four dark templars into the main. Goes from ecstasy to despair in the space of five minutes.

It's a bit of a shame because Hang Entertainment collectively shit all over Starcraft fans and progamers before they left to play LoL.

This link from MPL1 may be relevant. I think I'm about 30 seconds early, but the leadup may be interesting.

After Flash beats Stork and Flash's team wins, in the final interview (with Stork also onstage), she basically says: I'm sorry you lost, marry me?
