What I like about these old games is how they are more similar to how I used to play vs friends back in the day.
Slower expanding, crazy convoluted battle plans, etc.
So fun.

Randomly tuned with a faint hope of seeing the gameplay live but only got to the interview. It was surprisingly pretty interesting. Also an ex-gamer recalling stuff from 15 years ago showing to his parents he won against a guy named SuperCondomUser lmao

VODs will be up by tomorrow at this Youtube Channel. The current planned order of upload is the Whear vs SuperCondomUser grand finals bit to be completed in the next few hours (will reply when that is available since it was the best bit) and then followed by the order the games were broadcasted in the OP schedule.

Final Main Updates:

The CompUSA Gamefixx grand finals recording are up! Extra special thanks to Dan "Whear" Murphy for coming out of his 2003 retirement to co-cast these with me. These games are the best of the entire livestream series and have huge stakes on the line with the winner taking home $10,000.00 in this 2002 tournament. If you can only see one or two games from 15 years ago, see these!
- Game 1 on Lost Temple
- Game 2 on Lost Temple + interview
Other VODs will be uploaded to the eSports Historian YouTube channel throughout today. I'll also be updating the original post's schedule with links to specific games as they are made available. For now, the first two games of Tasteless vs [-Bluewolf-] and Day[9] vs Wizard are available and check the first opening post later for more!
The event had a viewer high of 74 people interested in the ancient eSports scene. The average viewer count was 53 over the entire 6 hour and 45 minute duration.
- The numbers didn't real matter that much as it was a passion event and I was happy to revive this forgotten event. At the same time, such a thing like this will be rare since it doesn't seem that there is a huge existing interest in the really old eSports games. At least, for those casted by myself, as I do admit I'm a pretty bad solo caster. :p
- Feel free to subscribe to the eSports Historian Twitch channel or the Youtube channel if you are interested in old eSports content though! I won't be using either source for my own personal streaming so the only activity at those places will be these types of events when the do occur.
- At some point in the next month or two, I'll likely add the following to the Youtube channel:
  - A short summary video of the CompUSA Gamefixx $20k online competition and their followup MillionManLan event. This look into that history will reference games that were recorded for footage.
  - A video about an ESPN event held in 2000 in coordination with another now defunct retailer: Circuit City. This one isn't Starcraft related but was, I believe, the first time ESPN broadcasted an eSports event that has also been lost to time. In fact, the top 3 took home official Winter X Games medals that those in the Winter X Games community are certain don't actually exist. (The second place finisher tried to sell his Silver medal several years ago but eBay removed the listing after too many reports that no such medal existed and forums he tried to sell it on echoed that conclusion). I have the recording of the original broadcast and a bunch of other things saved from it (my brother and I competed in a lot of American eSports back in the day 0.o) which I think could make an interesting topic.
