MPL 2(?) was easily my favorite event last year. It finished around the end of December and it's been 6 months with no MPL 3 as far as I can tell. I am still salty about Blizzard not green lighting another ATB. Wonder if he will come back to streaming immediately or will smurf on some accounts and people will start guessing like we used to do with Flash and Jaedong before they actually start streaming

He was my favorite Korean player for years.
He used hydra/lurker to devastating effect. He was a cerebral monster.
His best play can be found in replay archives - lost temple games.
Afaik he was never better then the best zerg at any time, but his play reeed of multi-faceted thinking years ahead of his time.
His play justified my approach to Zerg ever since I found in him ... I want to say 2002.

Very sad. Junwi was a great player. Arguably the best Zerg player during his peak. RIP.

junwi was definitely a top 3 zerg in his prime, but IMO he wasn't as good as yellow and maybe even chojja during that time period.

I think being a top ~5 player for a good year-long period is enough to be "arguably" the best.
Regardless this is incredibly sad and we've lost another great legend, even if not a lot of people in the foreign community remember him

the age of protoss is coming. jd is yet to go as zerg leaving zero to be pretty much the only top tier zerg left once jd leaves.
flash and last are also yet to go leaving pretty much no terrans except for light? sea has ages left also.
bisu is returning soon and rain and best havent gone but to my knowledge both of them are exempt (unsure of reasons), leaving too many top tier protoss compared to the other races.

Rain cant go to military because he donated half of his liver to his father. Not sure abt best.
