List contains all games from STPL for which matches were casted up to yesterday. There were several duplicate user names. Those I can remember: - Marine from pSi and Marine from vT (first is 'Marine', 2nd 'Marine_vT' - Jaewon from Nas and Jaewon from WHITE (both having NaS / WHITE after nickname) - Best from Red and BeSt progamer (first is Best, second BeStKOREA) - Mind from dM (?) and Mind progamer (same as for Best, but only MindKOREA played) - Beast from NaS and Korea (resolution same as previously, but only beast from NaS played)

So yeah, sorry for your situation TT1, but your team could replace you with anybody just as you were seeing troubles with rescheduling game, and than he would be on games list as winner/losser depends on how game did go. That would also benefit everybody watching STPL, since there would be more game to be casted and seeing walkovers is always bad feeling. dM-White - yeah, the point is there are two players with nickname Mind - one from your team and another one progamer (he played at least once in WHITE vs SouL in Round 1, if I remember correctly).

2019 Q1 UPDATE Ok, i updated rankgim, there might be some mistakes etc, i add like 1750 games since october and 750 games of STPL since march 2018. There is few issues of sharing same name by players with "super common" nicknames, like marine, raynor, last, y.y, dark, spy but its less than 0,1 players and less than 1% games so doesnt impact ranking much, just as small fluctuation. Also few nicknames is existing in few different version so i am not sure are they different players or no etc. Examples: BlaCkSonS, BLaCkSoN, Kaido, KaidoKaze, Mannerz, MannerzMan etc Waiting for your reports. It says i have 2 wins vs g0rynich but it's actually 1 win and 1 loss. Like i mentioned i never played vs Marine and you added a bunch of my games where i offraced for fun (vs Labuela // vs Dewalt). Is the goal here to have an accurate ranking or are we just gonna add every single match without double checking anything? I'm checking the other pages and there's a ton of mistakes in those too.. Also, adding a ranking page for CPL would be really cool, imo.

Don't get me wrong, i think having an elo/ranking page is super fun and i appreciate all the work going into keeping it updated.. but it would be nice if the ranking page had accurate data. I think those are valid points. On the other hand, the current approach is also about seeing what can practically be done with the current data. However, in terms of a more long term and lasting solution for elo ratings there are a number of things to consider: 1) The technical solution where, say a tournament organizer, can hand in or upload a spread sheet in a particular format and it is automatically added to the grand data base. 2) A different issues is creating a policy on which games to include. For obvious reasons, walkovers and games that players do not take serious should preferably not enter the data base. But the games should also preferably come from matches where each player plays on a set of pretty balanced maps. For example, games from BSL would probably fit that criterion better than games from STPL. Looking to the chess world, only particular tournaments are recognized as official rating tournaments and you know before hand when you are playing rated games so you don't fool around. These are some thoughts on the long term organization of an elo ranking system, but I recognize that its about making a compromise between what is optimal and what is practically possible.

The practical approach is to give particular tournaments and their stages factor of priority, so that match in main league is more important than match in one day long tournament, and match in finals is more important than match in groupstage. However, taking into account, that everybody should play their best in any tournament, others may say it would affect scores in a bad way.
