Wow that 424 guy is so bad. Easy 6-0 for flash.
Not sure if he was trying some different strat or smthng...but it looked bad.

To quote what Mong said after playing 424 "I don't know if its Jaedong because I never played Jaedong when he was active but whoever 424 is he plays like someone who is rusty. Like a person who is not at their full skill yet." I agree about this from watching both Jiko and 424 games. There are a lot of moments where he plays really bad but I also see moments of brilliance that reminds me really of Jaedong.

The Koreans seem to think it is him otherwise they would not play such marathon sessions vs him like Last did. And I doubt a non-pro would play such >8 hours marathon sessions without any real breaks at such a level. Even Last was very tired at the end. After the 35th game Last cannot believe that 424 still keeps joining his games.

Koreans are speculating that jaedong may be purposely doing a really risky build conssistently. Muta ling without any sunks. and also fs is heavily favored towards terrans so its no wonder jd loses to the best player atm on FS

LOL at thinking 424 is bad. He's still rank C consistently and got B at one point as well if I remember correctly. And of course I'm going beyond my area of expertise (which is none) but there's quite a few reasons why Jaedong isn't owning everybody left and right just yet in my opinion:

- He played Sc2 for quite a long time

- He's playing against the best of the best in a time of terran domination (FS + mech)

- Maybe he's trying something new as Shinokuki mentioned

The games with the Jiko account he made 5 sunks at nat so makes me think its just him experimenting without sunks.

tbo, after watching the games, the low count of wins doesn't look upsetting.
Most matches look more like training than like real matches, with a lot of early ggs
Wins were pretty brutal on the other hand.

Exactly what I see. JaeDong takes many risks and force him self into crazy micro-multitask situations that require perfect mechanics. This way he'll get into shape much quicker than playing slow-defensive games. (at least that's what I hope:D)

That was my thought too, the way he was stubbornly pushing with muta ling seemed like he was training it. I think he knows that his mid game harass isn't good enough and he really needs to improve it to play at higher level and beat S class terran.

We used to watch jaedong on tv with his build orders trained. Jaedong's strats are extremely hard to execute, he has always been very greedy in the early game to maximize his macro and outspeed his opponent. Actually anyone who spent some times studying his bo and try to copy them would realize on how advanced and well thought they are, but at the first mistake you miserably fail.

JD has always been walking a thin line and that is one of the reasons his matches were so entertaining to watch.

JD goes 3 mostly 3 hatch, Zero has used this build back in the day in Match Point against Flash (theres a Day 9 analysis iirc) and it's 2 hatch muta->double expo while holding off Terran with pure Muta +1 carapace (he only had his early game lings, all the larva go for muta/drone/lurker until you drone up)

If this is JD really mass practicing...geez I'm excited. Feel shaky about Z since even Effort seems to be getting pummeled lately but man oh man if he can get back in to form...much more excited for him than any other oldschool BW player.

Terrans are tired,
Protoss want to fly,
And the only one practicing
Is the one we can't deny.
The harder it becomes, the more you should focus on the basics.

I'm really happy seeing Jaedong mass gaming so much.. I mean his last 3 accounts had a lot of games and these do not even include those marathons like vs shinee or last (20-30 games) as only few games are registered as ladder.

Btw. who is hero[S.G]? (currently top1 fish)
