Let's say savior didnt get into OSL 3. Nada obviously did. Nada does decently well in osl3, gets top 4. Savior wins Gom MSL. April Kespa says savior is #1 and nada is #2, ranking change without any head to head match between the two.

You really think fans or players would buy into the way kespa ranks who is #1 or #2 without a head to head game between the two, and truely beleve that savior is now all the sudden better than nada? I personally dont think so. Kespa is a "decent" barometer, but nothing that has any sort of real or absolute value in terms of who is the "better" player =S
well no but things like "who's on top of kespa the most" are still meaningful. this particular situation just shows that in certain situations it is not useful. of course, if savior was 500 points ahead of nada, i think that would be a significantly different situation.

Indeed.
Why isnt this featured?. KeSPA is reallyyy important in South Korea.
AnyTime[gm] is still on KeSPA Top 10!!!.
despite him showing the worst performance of a protoss of late ;;

Good to see all other protoss rising; they all deserve it.

Anytime had some seriously bad luck when you think about it
Getting cheesed 3 times in OSL = ROFL (I consider the FBH game to be so incredibly gay that it has to be cheese regardless of its characteristics.)
And getting to vs July in a bo3 in MSL...

I am praying for a ZERO PROTOSS OSL

WTF FUCK U

?? so? Just because it's listed doesnt mean it's necessarily that important.

how often do you hear a player say "oh man, my main goal is to get back in top 10 kespa" or "dude, #1 kespa rank is my career goal" when asked "what are your goals for this year?" etc.

Players have talked about getting back to #1 Kespa, or back to top 30 plenty of times before.

Is there even an instance where in sports, the players actually care deeply about their world rank? Because I certainly cant think of any. Your rank doesnt determine how good you are, so why would they care? :O

Rank is somewhat important in tennis (obviously less than winning majors, but still). I know there's been complaints in Australia about how few players we have in the tennis top 100 now.

I really think at this point that the best overall BW player in history is no longer Boxer, but Nada. Guys like Savior become really super-hot and then burn out quickly. You saw it happen with Anytime when everyone got all excited about his one win, you saw it happen with July. We've even seen a rise and fall of megastars like Reach and OOv. But the one and only guy who has CONSISTENTLY been at the very top throughout the past six years is Nada.

Mark my words, soon Savior will burn out and fall in the KeSPA ranks, and Nada will still be there in the top 5 forever. That consistency is so much more impressive to me than completely dominating for a brief period.

nonsense fanboism. both have certain skills, changes in game strategy favor one skill set over another, so we see rise and fall of players. there is little to suggest the skill 'consistency' exists, let along nada's success is due to this skill which savior presumably lacks.

another thing with the ranks, what T1 did with their one league rule will either be a heavy blow to the rankings or force it to change. i dont think the rankings will change, so yeah T1 players are fucked.

"both have certain skills, changes in game strategy favor one skill set over another, so we see rise and fall of players." that's my point, that's why it's impressive that one player transcends the rise and fall and stays dominant consistently for so long. even boxer's period of dominance had not lasted so long.

how can consistency not exist? it's a word, look it up.

I don't even like Nada I just give respect where it's deserved. I'm a nal_ra and Anytime fanboy.
