I mentioned Victorian times because it`s a byword for the age of courtesy. | ||

No, against Jaedong. On Heartbreak Ridge, Flash builds a Barracks at 7 supply in order to get a Marine out early enough to snipe an Overlord, which was traveling along the same path every initial Overlord on HBR traveled up to that point. It pretty much decided the result of the game, since Jaedong couldn't stop the subsequent early Marine and Bunker rush having been unexpectedly supply blocked so early. This game also eliminated Jaedong from OSL after he'd won the previous two OSLs. After that, Zerg players became more careful about Overlord scout paths, since a predictable scout path over open terrain could be studied and exploited in a big game. Similarly, Terran players became more aggressive about sending small groups of Marines to seek out Overlord kills during the early game. | ||

I would call it one of the seminal games: Games that may not be known to be exciting, but induces a change in the meta. Similar to that, the Bisu vs Savior series were seminal as well. | ||

Brood War is lucky to have had many seminal moments pretty much every year of its professional play, and several more close to seminal moments (like upMagic's m&m vs Protoss, which only ever worked for him, or Hive tech ZvZ which was only understood by a very small number of top zergs). Mech vs Zerg, and then Zerg's broodling response months later. Those kinds of things made SC so fun to follow. | ||
