this. Disappointing news. Afreeca should've stuck to 1.16.1 and only moved to 1.18 next season since bugs would've been ironed out by then. Now, if a player loses, you have to wonder how much the bugs in patch 1.18 contributed to the loss.

i mean, has anyone bothered to try and replicate the bugs that they've been having online, on LAN?
edit: also watching SSL i didn't notice anything game breaking and the players didn't seem to be complaining

No idea, but even if all the new bugs that were found aren't an issue on LAN the patch is still barely tested (i think that's a safe assumption based on the fact that they originally planed to release the official patch live the like a day after the start of the PTR) and is might be hiding a few more bugs based on big the changes were.

The point is that apparently the dead time for any keyboard input to register after the mouse button is released was increased or something along this line and this is very relevant. All the people and progamers don't complain about it for fun.

And SSL says next week they will use 1.16.1, but after that they may use 1.18.
SSL says that they found some 1.18 problems in observer mode and minimap.

1.18 is still a work in progress, so it didn't make much sense to switch so quickly. Give it a couple weeks at least before switching.
